This game is a clone of Suika, with the main theme being emojis. You need to stack emojis and merge them from smallest to largest. Aside from emojis, this version's unique selling point is its special abilities. The game works, which is something you can't tell about every game sold on Steam, and in my brief time with it, I didn't encounter any game-breaking bugs. My overall feeling about this game is that it is cheap. The music sounds like something from free game assets, and none of the sound effects have any sort of identity. The main asset for it is literally emojis, and not some author rendition of emojis but an open-source implementation of them called twemoji. The game also opened in a forced fullscreen mode, which, after I alt-tabbed from it, rearranged all windows on my multiple monitors. Which in 2024 is a crime. Visually, emojis are rendered without anti-aliasing, which means you will now notice all the edges - you're welcome. Also, emojis that were picked by the author to be used as stackable items feel the same. They are all faces with the same main color (just the accents are different). And one of the main draws of the original Suika and its clones is that items have different colors. This means you can identify them easily, and you can build in your mind what is the hierarchy of items. But this is impossible in this game, where all items have same primary color. It is also not helped by game abilities, which often can make those emojis smaller or squished. So, for obvious reasons, you also can't use their size to distinguish them. Game abilities feel like a crutch for bad collision detection. When I played the game, I often encountered situations where emojis were stuck, and I was unable to dislodge them, which didn't feel like intended behaviour but more like a bug. Overall, this game is not offensive (and not that expensive), but even for $2, you can find more worth for your buck.
Fun matching game with special abilities. This game provides very easy and accessible gameplay in which all you have to do is drop emojis into a box. When two identical emojis touch, they merge into a larger emoji. The goal is to continue gaining points until you lose when emojis reach the line. There are many similar games out there, but this one has a very welcome feature. By combining circles, you can fill a bar. Once it is full, you can choose one of three random skills. You can only hold one, so choose something you know you will need. Each ability can only be used once unless you pick it again. Abilities are interesting. There's one that opens a hole at the bottom and drops all the emojis, a sword that pops every emoji, fire that burns one type, and many others. Because the game may seem repetitive after a few rounds, there are a number of achievements you can strive to obtain. Most are related to abilities and are rather easy to get. However, some are tricky because the abilities bar isn’t consistent. This means the longer you play, the longer it takes to get an ability.
this game made me start drinking and i got liver failure. popmoji gave me liver failure.
I had a ball of a time playing, it's a bargain too!!
I've just been playing for the bread, can never get enough bread. Please add more bread. I beg you. The game is fun too, though. So that helps a LITTLE. Oh, and the sword was cool.
Millions of years ago, there were two planets: the Earth, and the Emoji. The Emoji then exploded! The world was shook to the core. Dreams crushed, hopes defeated. But then, the sun rose on a new day, and Popmoji™ was born. Instantly, celebrations throughout the skies were celebrated, happy people were happied, and breads were breaded! Even the turtles joined in on the Popmoji™ universe! You should play this game
This game is so addicting. I need to get on the leaderboards.
