SINGLEPLAYER REVIEW:believe it or not, speedrunning this is semi challenging (dont ask why I'm speedrunning) The hardest part, is easily the bossest (obviously). Because with a free money tech which is INSANELY easy to pull off, and only gets better as you go on (especially at legendary rarity but at that point its redundant). The biggest problem at the same time, is the shop system. Its grindy, doing the same areas or bosses grinding until the sun explodes. But with the MT(Money Tech) it is redundant. (Which I will explain now) Free money: Get starter items from tutorial, sell them. See the money you have? Switch areas really quickly. This is VERY important. You will have a set amount of money. For example, 475 . You will have 475 to buy WHATEVER you want. DO NOT SELL THESE. Just buy them and keep them in your inventory. Now, restart level. You have 475 again, and once you check your inventory you have the items again. You can see where this goes. It snowballs harder and harder as you enter the last levels. For speedrunning, obviously its good. (If you even do, why would you?) Anyway, why speedrun this at all? I don't know. I have a lot of free time, also no one else seems too. So, free world record, and a time killer. Btw, start the speedrun on pressing a button not the file creation. There is a bug that spawns you in the wall. It happens every other time. Anyway, speedrun this game. Its kinda fun. Also, this game could blow up (No way in hell but you never know) MULTIPLAYER REVIEW: So, multiplayer is a lot different. I was only able to play with one other person, but even then its much more enjoyable with a friend. We didn't try the infinite money tech at the time since we didn't know it existed, Anyway, there is a multiplayer only item which is the Line between you and your teammate. ( I forgot the name). Its a good move, and probably one of the stronger ones because how easy it is to use, and also consistent damage. Sure its extra money down the line, but with the bosses also being able to focus on 2 people at a time, giving your teammate a moment to breath, or just focus on consistent damage while the other dodges. Remember the item with the line between the 2 of you? Yeah, this is why its so good. Even IF you are focusing on doing something else with the boss, you can just hold the button down and get free damage. You are gonna be in the bosses line of sight 70% of the time anyway. So will your teammate. Builds: The build variety is actually not bad, having a lot of items to begin, and unlocking better versions of them at the last levels. You can make some builds that will SHRED bosses. Or just be super duper tanky, having 400+hp and just taking 20-30 less dmg overall. Why? I dunno know, its funny though. Anyway, there are also a lot of abilities. All having their own purpose, and even one support item. (Really good by the way, use it.) Frankily the best damage you'll find which is consistent, is going to be Bullet, Magnet, Big Bullet or Bomb, Any. The fourth option is basically anything you want. B U L L E T : Consistent high damage, easy to use, also the ammo count means nothing generally. Just spam the shoot button instead of holding it. Problem solved. M A G N E T : High damage, you need to be up close but this doesn't really matter most of the time since most enemies/bosses stay still (Most do, but not as often as you think). Big Bullet or Bomb: Big Bullet is just a stronger version of normal bullet. Bigger damage, singular bullet though while having a short cooldown. Bomb, is a bomb. Obviously. Really good, honestly better than big bullet sometimes just because the damage. But, bullet is VERY consistent while the bomb can be weird to use. The bomb forces you to use it in a way where you have to move around the bomb, and sometimes not the boss. It pushes the bomb FORWARD. Which, is whatever. Like I said earlier, if you use it against a enemy that is standing still, guess what! Free damage. Final Weapon (Anything) Literally anything. From support item, to that weird pentagon item which is really bad, the invul item, or anything you'd like that I can't remember right now. ----------------------------- Big problems: Bugs, Like the infinite money glitch. Or the glitch where you can dash into walls. Or the tutorial spawn glitch where you spawn into a wall. I don't know why its walls being mainly the problem but whatever. BIGGEST PROBLEM(S): No keyboard and mouse support, this sucks a lot. Controller is fine but not everyone is going to have one lying around. Which, to be fair its common to have a spare. Its not constant though. Also, force steam remote play. Honestly, it isn't that big of a deal. Forced Parsec/Steam remote play. Its a singular dev, working on a small game. This doesn't matter that much, if at all. Input delay may be the biggest issue, but even then it'd be fine since its not like its hard to dodge/hit shots or abilities. Try this game. Its fun. Not a lot of repeatability, but for a game where its free, and distracts you for a while, its fun. Better with friends, but still good alone. Overall, 7/10 personally. Funi shape shoot other funny shapes :)
