This game is similar to Ghost Master. While Ghost Master gives you a little more freedom to scare how you like, Poltergeist is more of a puzzle game. You have to scare just right or you run out of powers. I know some have given this game negative reviews because of this but you need to first remember, it's a PUZZLE game. If you want more freedom to scare I recommend Ghost Master. This game is fun and will make you think. I recommend it.
This is a fun, little game. I hate to call it a Ghost Master rip-off, but the concept is basically the exact same. You'll enjoy playing Poltergeist if you have played and enjoyed Ghost Master, or any puzzle/strategy game like it. It does get more challenging as you get further along, and the bosses are defeated by very special means. I find playing this to be a good way to pass time, or as a game to enjoy casually.
I love the concept of this game and really was hoping for it to be as good as Poulterguy on the sega genesis but this just seems really sloppy. It feels like somebody's first videogame. I didn't feel like there was any challenge or point to it. Hopefully it will get better or maybe the sequel will fix some of the issues.
Enjoy strategically scaring people? This game is for you! The puzzles aren't so overly hard that you can't absolutely enjoy this game. I love the artwork in this game as well. It's also hilarious that as you play along you go through the decades and the npc's looks change. Great job on this game.
terrible game, waist of money! -dry gameplay -horrid levels -waist of time
Very nice additctive puzzle game but its a bit short for its price. More free levels or a Workshop would be awesome for this game.
Meh....could have been good but basically a simple puzzle game. Buy it on offer, if at all.
"Poltergeist: A Pixelated Horror" is a 2.5D puzzle game with a retro pixel "art" veneer. It's a simple puzzle game where you are presented with an isometric house, and your goal is to scare away the occupants using a limited number of special "ghost" abilities. It's basically a ripoff of an older game called Ghost Master from 2003, only this has worse graphics (despite being over 11 years more modern). The game is rendered partially in 3D which means the developers were capable of doing more modern visuals but they deliberately chose not to. Who makes something that looks bad, on purpose? I'm not sure what they intended to achieve by that. While there's some good ideas here (because this is just a ripoff of someone else's game), the presentation is very poor. Despite being 8 years old, with visuals that would look bad for something 18 years old, the developer has no qualms about trying to gouge PC gamers $8 for the kind of thing that can be done in a browser these days. I can't recommend it.
Petit puzzle game très sympa. Très bien réalisé, dans un style pixel art très agréable, les bruitages sont sympas, on est vite dedans. Simple de prise en main mais les puzzles deviennent rapidement costauds.
puzle trop dur.
