Reluctantly won me over I started this game back in 2016 when it was all the rage. Played for 6 months then faded out like most players. My college age daughter started playing again in 2024 & asked me to join her. I did so reluctantly as I don’t play many “games.” I must admit we having a lot of fun playing together! I don’t spend much money on the game but we enjoy walking together, catching Pokemon, joining some raids etc. I’m pretty impressed with the game considering I play for free.

Used for training military ai Pokémon Go has used their AR mapping feature to have users unknowingly train artificial intelligence for autonomous machines and military drones. By playing Pokémon Go, you can make it easier for drones to bomb your local playground should the tech oligarchs that run the world decide it’s profitable. Hooray. Gotta catch em all.

Awesome but gofest 2026 In PvP sometimes if you are winning they leave and it makes the game freeze and stuck. If you leave YOU take a loss. Idk how many times I have had this happen. Gofest 2026 was such a scam. I bought so many remote raid passes and couldn’t finish the mewtwo raids because players can’t break the shield. Yet streamers can get level 50 max level mew twos? Such a slap in the face. I almost quit again because of this… pretty pathetic

Bugs everyday！ So many bugs!

App crashes and money spent lost The app crashes a lot. It often crashes before, during and after raids. If it crashes during or after a raid and you cannot have the opportunity to even catch the Pokemon you can request help which will just be an automated response that doesn’t provide any solution. So basically you pay to buy raid passes and if the app crashes you lose your money and there is no customer support.

Loyal Players Deserve Better RNG is already expensive enough. Many of us spend money on raid passes, tickets, and events only to walk away empty-handed, while others receive exclusive rewards that can’t be earned through gameplay. I hope the 10th anniversary celebrates all players, not just a select few.

Rigged and pay to play 9/10 battles in the go league start out with a 4x type disadvantage forcing you to immediately switch. Of course the opponent always has another 4x type advantage to your counter so you lose before the battle even starts because of the hand picked match making that guarantees a loss that you can’t prevent.

Excellent experience Wanna do an online battle? Game crashes every 1/7 matches. Wanna remote raid? If it doesn’t immediately crash and you lose the lobby then it’ll crash as soon as you complete it. If you don’t happen to load back in and rejoin the raid before the time expires, then congrats! Not only do you not get to catch it but you also lose the remote raid pass! Good luck on getting a refund on the raid pass, it’s been about 2 weeks since I reported and haven’t been refunded the pass, nor do I expect to.

Ridiculous “Catch” Rates This game should be fun, but it’s aggravating to buy remote raid tickets, participate and win, and then get denied what you have rightfully one due to RNG. I’m so sick of the pattern of “hit pokemon with excellent or great throw, breaks out. Rinse and repeat for 14 balls where you’ve used berries to improve catch rates.” Absolute ripoff.
