"Point of Mew" is an admittedly charming (possibly student project) tier game, a touching exercise in simulating a cat helping your owner with a tough day by finding the parts to make a model boat. I've seen so much worse on Steam, but unfortunately this was let down by rather weak technical delivery and lack of polish. What do you do in the game? First person platforming, knocking things off other things... the gameplay concept is fun, it's just let down by technicals and quality problems. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 7 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.

well thought out and simple cat game! fun first person cat game!
Cute game where as cat you are on the mission to find some parts to build the boat. The best ones: 1. Plastic Bottle (Base 5*) from fridge in the kitchen. 2. Diffuser Reed (Mast 3*) from pawing (LMB) a single plant on toilet in the bathroom. 3. Old Receipt (Sail 5*) from basket in the bathroom. 4. Toy Mouse (Captain 4*) from under the couch in the living room. 5. Feather (Figurehead 5*) from meowing (Q) at bird in the garden. According to great guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2952231001 Somehow feather bugs out a little bit, however I think it's scripted to get 2nd place every time.
