Plight

"Plight" a rather mediocre 2D retro puzzle game ripping off the old laser mechanics from Khet. Weak technical implementation and poor delivery are the primary causes of the game receiving a cool welcome and overall failing to attract any gamers. This features really godawful, lazy 2D retro "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

This barely passes for me. I give it 3/5. Graphics arent good but functional. Game play/general feeling is that the game isnt finished imo. Boring sound/music. Not my kinda game but it functions and is free so ill let it pass.

El juego me gusta, representa mucha logica el juego, cosa que me agrada Tiene un buen numero de niveles (ya complete "The Ruins" en Perfect) La dificultad se nota, sin duda me llevo mucho algunos niveles, en pasarlos no principalmente aunque si se sintio la dificultad, si no en como agarrar los 9 items y pasar los 3 levels extras ---Para los que no entienden aqui les explico como se juega--- Te moves con las flechas, WASD o con el click del mouse, usa la barra espaciadora para enteractuar con los objetos Sos un robot que tiene que encerder lo que vendria ser la base principal de energia, para ello contaras con rayos de luz que te ayudara a no quedarte sin energia, ya que, este robor tambien la necesita Hay unas buenas mecanicas, desde bases que se activan con multiples energias o con energia continua, hasta cambiar el angulo y posicion de estas, entre otras Te daran 3 estrellas si lo haces en un tiempo y en un consumo de energia determinado, aunque no es la mas valiosa, la mas valioda son las 3 estrellas verdes, que es igual que las amarillas pero a veces son muy exigentes Hubiese estado bueno poner algo de info como, no se, la razon por la cual hace esto, o qioes es este robot, cosas como esas Lo unico malo es que deberian hacer algo con el zoom, por que a veces hay cosas importantes que no se ven, o hacer algo para que las cosas se puedan mover con el teclado y no con el mouse, cosas leves pero afecta al juego En fin, Me esta gustando cada ves mas
