The price is right for this game and while I was tempted to give it a thumbs down the price saved it. The game lacks balance and falls short on its mechanics. It has some great ideas, and okay game loop but it could be better with simple improvements. 1) The way stats improve is too fast. 2) For some reason VIP subs were making 1m a stream in chapter 3 and then back to a realistic 4k in chapter 4. 3) stream awards should be pushed onto the player. You shouldnt get to decide when they are. There should be dates which roll around consistently, giving you a few shots at them. 4) lacks depth. You should be able to choose your own home, furniture and layout. the town you choose should affect internet speed and food availability. I've played most of Raptor Claw Games and this one falls short of its potential. The idle tower game is by far their best.
Base game: I review games after 100% their base game and I have to say this is an okish game. Some achievements are bugged and will not unlock no matter how much you try. This gets a 5/10 from me due to the achievements being bugged for me (and many others) and the developers do not seem to be investigating this. (if they were to announce that they have fixed it I would be more than happy to revisit it and try and get the last of em). Do I recommend this game? If you are not an achievement hunter then yeah get this game! but if you do care about them then I suggest you hold back until the issue is resolved. Update: I tried making a separate save to get the rest of the streamer awards achievements which helped and for the mastery ones I had to get all of the skills to each tier.
Entretenido y bien diseñado, quizás medio confuso en algunos aspectos. Siento que podría mejorar y hacerse más largo. Mecánicas simples pero entretenidas como ésta. Lo recomiendo para gente sin vida :)
EDIT: So. I've come back to this after playing another 125 hours of it. I still love playing it and try new approaches each time. But there are various bugs in the game that have been there from the start that still haven't been addressed, despite numerous pleas in the Discussion Forums for the asset reset bug to be fixed. Apart from Steam achievements a few months ago, the devs seem to have abandoned this, and it's a shame. It feels half-finished. At least with Gamer Career Tycoon you had the option to manage an Epsorts team when your streaming career was finished. In Please Subscribe, you get the challenge mode and that's it. Love it as it is, but could be better and the devs could pull their fingers out of their posteriors and fix the resetting assets bug, please! (Original Review) Well, I've been playing this for 11 hours and I'm officially addicted. Made it to top streamer but didn't want to take on the challenge to regain my crown (worked hard to get where I was, b*ggered if I was going to give it up!) but probably will in a future game. Well done to the devs for a great experience!
very fun :)
This game is amazing so far! A little bit grindy at first, but it picks up steam. 10/10 would at least try it!
I'm split on this game. Because it's rated very positive, I will go for a do not recommend, as I do not think it deserves that rating whatsoever, and most certainly not at its default price. It *is*, however, a fun enough "numbers go up" simulator that'll keep you occupied for a few hours. It's addicting in the way most of these games are. That being said, the game is extremely shallow, and I would hesitate to say it's worth even its meager asking price of 10$. If you can get it for 1-2$, then you'll get your money's worth, but otherwise, it's much better to stick to actually fleshed out additions to the genre e.g. Game Dev Tycoon or Mad Games Tycoon, which have employees that are actually useful beyond creating a single asset for each stream feature, settings for games that actually matter, financial pressure that lasts beyond the early game, etc. Some parts of the game are ridiculously half-baked - e.g. there's a category for skill training items, but I was able to easily afford the three options within the first half hour, and then you just... never buy anything more from that category again - and charisma raises naturally through streaming so you don't particularly need to train it to begin with. It's also extremely janky in terms of presentation and UI. If this were a studio's first ever game I'd be more forgiving, but it appears that this dev just keeps pumping out half finished games. There's really no excuse for this.
Маленькая игрушка, проходится за 5-6 часов. Прикольная, но короткая... Если все делать правильно, то развитие канала прям очень быстрое, жаль что в жизни не так =)
Very good for what the game is, just seems fairly repetitive with having to work a shift for $75 with no increase over time, making it null once you get a lucky sponsorship that gives half your weekly payments in one stream. Which you can then just do very short streams twice a day to get a lot of money easily. Other than that, everything feels fairly balanced. Just wished the tutorials would give useful tips as well as the journal goals, such as how to increase skill attributes, like endurance.
Overall it was a very fun game. The mechanics are simple enough and the tutorial was easy to follow. I like that there is a new difficulty that you can unlock after you've won the streamer of the year award. It allows the game to be re-playable and more attractive. I wish the set-up of the rooms had a little more customization but for someone with no interior decorating skills it's a good fit. While I did get mine on sale, the original price is worth the game and you will surely get $10 worth of gameplay. My only complaint is that there are no achievements. As someone who strives to 100% games, it was very unsatisfying to leave the game in my library with no achievements completed. Score: 7/10
