awsome concept but this game is garbage and not fun at all...
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2 and Windows Mixed Reality
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/sEjc95OhOiI Well, this is supposedly an open-world sandbox game. I guess that's technically true, but this is yet another game that feels more like a prototype for a game, rather than an actual game. This looks like it might be a good, fun game for the family. Yet, nothing really works as it should. I realize this game is in Early Access, however, it's just not a product I can recommend anybody to spend money on. The only reason to buy this is if you want to support the developers. What's here isn't good and it may never be good. It would take a lot of work to fix this game. It's not only buggy, but the physics are all wrong. I've seen the assets for this game on the asset store bundled on Humble. There are some nice ideas here. Getting shot out of a cannon is pretty cool. You can ride a Tesla Cybertruck before anyone else in VR. You can fly around the map with rocket thrusters, jump on the trampoline, ride a hot air balloon, get flown up a roof from big fans, and then zipline yourself across buildings. You can also shoot rocket launchers, bazookas, or guns. But nothing works quite exactly right. Everything is too simple and just not polished. There's a bridge to nowhere where if you drive off it, you'll go twisting around the map. There's the horrible noises from shooting the bazooka or rocket launcher. There's the guns that do no damage. There's the poor animations, funky physics, and random pathing issues. Lastly, there's this random baby crying sound in the game for no apparent reason. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps most of the time on the high graphical settings, although I did have a few dips to as low as 75 fps (nothing that effected gameplay). You only have full locomotion and snap turning. If you're new to VR, you might enjoy this VR "open-world sandbox." However, if you're a VR veteran like me, you've seen all this done much better in other games. I would say Rec Room does a better job overall than this. Also, this sandbox makes very little sense as a single-player experience. I think you would need to play with friends to make this even semi-interesting. As is, I think the $10 price tag is too high given the quality of the game. You're basically paying to beta-test a prototype for what could possibly be a good game, sometime in the far future (assuming the devs work meticulously to improve this game). Video Review Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7pW6vU-n_Y This is more of a neutral recommendation than anything else. Playground VR offers a decently sized city filled with lots of activities to chose from. While this appears good at first, there does seem to be a bit of a quantity over quality issue with these activities as most of them you will grow tired of fairly quickly. That being said though, I did enjoy playing this game for a couple of hours and I do see potential here for something greater. If you are looking for an open world VR game where you can just mess around with and have fun then I think you won't be too disappointed; but if you are looking for something deeper then this might not be for you.
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL GAME! The trailer made the game seem much better than it actually is. I am ashamed to say I spent a good nine dollars on this piece of garbage.

I do like the concept but to be honest, It's really bare bones and just boring after 30 mins of playing. the AI is really really dumb and it dosen't feel satisfying shooting them, the game is poorly optimized and im struggling to get a good 60 fps despite the fact i have a beefy computer. the weapons dont feel satisfying and more stuff i don't remember. don't buy the game for now and wait for the devs to iron out these issues.
Perfect for streaming
I love the way Source Byte works. They have set the task to create a fun sandbox for VR, so they did it! I played with friends and everyone had fun watching the clumsy attempts to do something. This game is perfect for streaming. If you want to entertain your audience, then this is the best way to do it. There are so many activities that you can do, funny sounds and instruments. I'm waiting for more games!
Es ist ein sehr cooles spiel um einfach ein bisschen zu probieren oder einfach ein bisschen blödsinn zu bauen.
The game have a potencial. There are a few things to do: - Secret things to find (grab pen, Infinity ammo pistol etc...) - Challenge missions. Of course the game have a little bugs, but it's still a early access. Waiting for more contents. ( Updates for game too). :-)
hideous unplayable trash. Wants to be a sandbox but there is like... no sand in there
