Mixed reviews are due to EA being a grimy company; rushed, buggy remaster. Overall this is the same game as the original with some better graphical effects and a few extras. The remaster lacks console-exclusive minigames, dynamic music (initially), and online multiplayer, offering only local co-op. The game launched with numerous glitches, crashes, and missing animations, with critics noting it was clearly not ready for release. People were frustrated by the lack of transparency, with early leaks showing an unfinished build that fueled distrust before the official launch. If you like PVZ, you will like this but just know the original game with all of it's content is almost the same.
