Considering that it is early days for this game, it is fun to run around and find the resources that you need for upgrades. I have seen a few videos showing this game on YouTube and that is why I decided to purchase Planternauts. I recommend using your beacons to highlight areas where you leave off as you will need to go back there many times due to the air limits in the game. I look forward to seeing what gets added to this game in the future.
so far its about collecting items scattered on a planet. suitable for kids to play too. good graphics, using unreal engine 5. not a very demanding system spec game. video : https://youtu.be/YNeBwdgnkAY
Ellietendo's Review Of Planternauts
I received a free copy of this game for review purposes. I used a mouse & keyboard combo for gameplay.
Pros:

Pretty Visuals - one strength I will definitely give, “Planternauts” is the stunning visuals. The surrounding areas of visually very appealing, and exploring the planets is a real joy. I could spend ages just admiring the surroundings.

Cons:

Frames - Frame drops always scare me in an indie game, even more so when there's no way to limit how many frames actually get used on your game. The intense graphics and lack of controls of the graphics means that if you have a gaming laptop like me, it will start cooking very quickly.
Full-Screen Break - Trying to enter full-screen mode on my monitor somehow ends up breaking my entire Windows system. I'm not sure why this happens, but whenever I go into full-screen mode, the mouse becomes stuck and any other apps or programmes that I am using become bugged out. This is incredibly off-putting as I don't want to fear my system crashing by playing this game.
Motion Sickness - I am unsure what camera effect is used for the in-game camera, but whatever it is, it definitely triggers my motion sickness. The worst part is, I don't know if there is a setting to turn this off. I am left being forced to play this game in very short bursts because of this.

Overall:
It is a hard “Not Recommend” from me. From everything that I have looked into, there are just way too many bugs for me to come even close to being able to recommend this game properly. The fact that a simple thing like putting the game into full screen can mess up my laptop is deeply worrying. Combine that with the motion sickness, frame drops, and other issues, and it is really hard to play this game without feeling terrible afterwards. Hopefully, the developer can use this as a learning experience, and who knows, maybe with a really powerful/major update, “Planternauts” may have another chance again in the future.
Pointless and boring. All you do is walk around and press E. If it had been free, it might have been acceptable, but I don’t think it’s right to sell a game like this.
