About
PlanetX is a real-time strategy MMO that redefines large-scale multiplayer warfare. The battle begins on Planet Alpha, where dozens of players start with seven land plots each. Unlike traditional flat maps, the entire game takes place on a fully spherical planet, adding an extra layer of strategy to territorial expansion.

Players must build and expand their empire, constructing various structures and managing resources. The first challenge is achieving a perfect balance between resource extraction and production to fuel economic growth. Once a player amasses enough wealth, it's time to assemble a powerful army, featuring tanks, aircraft, and missiles.

A unique aspect of PlanetX is its energy-based warfare - tanks and aircraft are fully electric, requiring charging stations before heading into battle. Units will fight until they run out of energy or are destroyed, making strategic deployment and resource management crucial.

The ultimate goal? Total planetary domination. The first player to conquer every available land plot on Planet Alpha claims victory and earns a ticket to Planet Beta, where even greater challenges await. As multiple Alpha champions arrive on Beta, the war escalates to an entirely new level.
Everything in PlanetX - construction, battles, resource trading, and land deals - happens in real time, ensuring a fast-paced, dynamic experience. Do you have what it takes to rise as the supreme ruler of the galaxy?

PlanetX has that “just one more thing” feeling that keeps you hooked. I started off thinking it would be a quick session, but hours flew by as I expanded my base and delved into new areas. The real-time strategy elements are fun, and the exploration keeps things fresh. It’s easy to get lost in the world of PlanetX, and before you know it, you're totally immersed.
Great game.
a lot of bugs

♥♥♥♥♥.
Needs some simple changes to balance the game, but I doubt it will ever happen based on tone dead response from the community. If the game was much faster paced, like 10-20X the current speed, without the protection barrier at the start as well, and you wait for a lobby to fill before the match starts: that would be a whole lot better than what this game offers. Or, it could go the opposite route and implement a daily resource cap with the 24hr protection barrier so that the game could last for months. You would also need to do away with the "emperor" trader that only serves to reward those who actually have the time to actively sit there and spend time playing an electricity/farm commodity broker minigame 24/7 to get ahead of the competition. You need to level the playing field, and don't reward players for exploiting stuff like that. This game should honestly be 2 different game modes for those who prefer longer/shorter matches but the middle ground that this game tries to achieve does not quite get there in the end. Instead, we're left with a boring land grab race of who can sneak their way past the most other players and gain the largest amount of land on the planet. Many of the other players wind up going AFK before properly sealing off ther nearby routes and that means luck is more of a factor than anything for most of the matches you wind up playing. For these reasons and many more, I cannot recommend this game to others in its current state. Hopefully they will make these things better, but judging by the responses from their Discord community: I doubt it will ever change and that means the game will almost certainly fail to capture any sort of competitive audience, unfortunately.
just yes
Very cool idea. Game is pleasing to look at and functional. I'm very excited to see where this project goes.
love it
Great game!
If you enjoyed browser-based games like Evony or Travian in the past, this scratches that itch nicely. It's a lot more fast-paced than the above mentioned titles (I was warring other players in less than a day) which lets you experiment with different styles of play quite easily. Currently the game is lacking any real tooltips to tell you what buildings produce/need before you build/upgrade them, but I'm assured that's being worked on. Devs are active in the Discord, I've already experienced bugs being fixed in real time - has the potential to be a nice fun little management game that you can soak lots of time into or check in on every few hours, so those of us with adult working lives don't feel as if we're missing out.
