Jank delivery the game.
Let me begin by saying it's a fun little game and not a total waste of money. I'd almost recommend it, but it's not quite enough.
What is or isn't Pizza Panic?
Despite what Steam says it is not a racing game. It's more like an obstacle course delivery grinder. The movement of your cute little robot is extremely annoying at first, it keeps dragging your steering left and right, loses direction on slopes, misses sharp turns, got no clue where the next customer exactly is etc. You are supposed to invest the money you've made to raise values one by one and make your experience better for example get a minimap and exact path to the next customer(s). Sadly these values reset after every mission and the one thing you play for as progression are coins to unlock different upgrade options and cosmetics in the store menu. Basically this game is an extraction style thing - if you win the run, you get your coins.
Issues I have with this product.
1. There are no option settings for resolution. One has to change the txt file in the Steam userdata folder to manually input for example a 4k resolution. However, this game is targeted at a very casual audience and also kids/their parents, the correct folder is notoriously difficult to find and most people won't know how to do it. The same is true for other settings as well such as V-Synch. They can be done, but only manually through the editing of said file. Inacceptable to not have this implemented in the game options. Furthermore the game isn't optimized for you doing this, so after I've set it to 4k my 4090 was at 70% usage. 2. There are still glitches in the game. In my just one hour playing this game I already encountered: - Cars driving half underground so only their roof sticks out. - Getting stuck in a hedge. - Reflections in windows looking fragmented. - Stuff I knocked over in one mission does not reset for the next mission. 3. You can't pause the game mid mission. The time keeps running out and you lose even while looking a menu. You are only supposed to take a break, walk away, react to your pet doing something, answer the door etc while you are in the main menu. Why? I don't understand. 4. The game creates delivery chains that seem impossible to fulfill sometimes. Like three people in three different directions and not enough time even with speed 3 handling 2 upgrades. Or the bonus delivery the pizza place gives to you is ridiculously far away up the hill and you don't have enough money to be fast enough to make it in time yet. 5. There is a distinct lack of ingame object variation. Except for the pizza chef and the delivery robots everyone in the city is a mouse. And every mouse kinda looks the same. There are only a few car models so you keep seeing these same few cruising along the streets everywhere.
The things I like.
- The game is easy to understand. Anyone can play right away. - The art style is very adorable and the colors are nice. - You can paint your delivery robot in three body zones any color you like. - Knocking stuff over in the city is fun.
Final verdict:
PizzaPanic reminds me a bit of Simpsons Road Rage. But in smaller, less interesting, less funny, less unlocks, less everything. The gameloop is similar though: You do the same thing over and over and over again, which is driving to a destination point within a time limit. BUT one must keep in mind the devs sell this game for under 10 bucks even when it is not on sale. You can still buy it for occasional play or for your kid and get your money's worth.

I just started playing Pizza Panic and so far, it's nice and funny. Good game for such a low price :-)
Nice game ! just started and can't wait to try the multiplayer !
So much fun! I love the multiplayer experience and the design is so cute.
I really wanted to love it. The game looks awesome, the map I've played on is really cool and the mechanics are very fun. I think the idea is great, it really gives me a nostalgic feeling of Crazy Taxi but with a modern (and cuter) look. The controls are wonky, they are not very intuitive, they change its input without even having a controller connected. The options menu is useless! Way too limited. For some reason, the intro video keeps playing every single time you launch the game, I thought that was more of a "first time" kind of thing. I'm not entirely sure about the movement controls but I don't wanna say anything cause it might be because Im just bad at it lol. Otherwise, I think it has a lot of potential and I really want it to thrive. It's a very good idea and a cool execution. I really hope there is some kind of QoL update or something like that, it only needs a few tweaks. Good job devs!
I really liked this game. Had quite a bit of fun playing on my own but I also played locally for couple hours with some friends who also had controllers and we truly had a great time. For the price, I highly recommend.
