About

The age of oppression is over – reclaim your legacy!
Your family’s kingdom was taken from you, but now the hour of revenge has come. Build your power, lead your army, and construct a castle worthy of your ancestors' glory!
Gather resources, expand your humble farmhouse into a thriving city, and construct over 20 different buildings. Assign professions to your subjects, collect taxes, and watch your castle flourish. Every wall, every tower brings you closer to your ultimate goal: dominion over the land!
Your enemies do not rest – defend your realm against those who once overthrew your father. Or take the fight to them: storm their castles, conquer their lands, and expand your empire. Assemble a mighty army, organize your troops, and command them in epic battles!
Leave the safety of your walls and discover a world full of dangers and mysteries. Plunder ancient treasures, defeat bandits, and uncover valuable artifacts. But beware: not everything lurking in the wilderness can be conquered by steel…
Are you ready to reclaim your kingdom?

So I normally don't review negatively but this time this is almost personal, the game could have potential but I cannot seem to understand the developer's sense of bashing the player at every damn mechanic... - Use of fast travel (huge cost early) OR the weird travel system that makes me turn around in circles: how hard can it be, I have a map I'm at X I have to travel a direction at the intersection anD that is not the right way to go, then maybe up means progress the story and down to turn back but even that makes no sense... I'm a pacifist but this makes me punch my monitor - Defensive structures seem great but really just mass archers at the only intersection as enemies spawn one at a time - Having to spam archers as it is apparently the easiest way to win any fight (even against brick walls) as they shoot and run while armored units are way more expensive expensive and not even worth as bullet sponges - Take down villages to expand territory sounds great but you raze the WHOLE village and have to start over each new settlement, not having access to capital resources even though you get a merchant, and each village's forge wants the upgrades again or mistakenly shown so??, and the only way to do that is to travel the DAMN map some more or pay coin And you'd think well if I can fast travel and gain passive gold all is fine eventually, well... you still need to travel the map to reach the enemy or gather troops which btw DON'T fast travel with you...
I really love this game. Played into the campaign a little but quickly noticed that the easy difficulty in Endless mode is where it's at for me. Just a relaxed build-up and then go berserk on those incoming waves lmao
A pretty solid game! The economic system is surprisingly deep, and each new level of buildings and tools came as a surprise, but also felt very fitting. Nevertheless, it's not overwhelming, so constant micromanagement isn't necessary. The mix of easy-to-use yet challenging gameplay quickly drew me in. The attacks from and on other castles keep things exciting. And managing additional villages later on offers even more possibilities. I will definitely spend a few more hours here!! Very good indie game, keep up the good work!
Class this
I’ve played through Pixelburg twice now, and it’s still a lot of fun. The music fits the game perfectly and makes the whole experience even better.
