Let me start by saying I know the developer. He's very talented and creative. Also, I enjoy strategy games. Pixel Wars is an amazing RTS. It's easy to learn (read the tips before you start to learn the keys), easy to play, and, with a friend, you'll have a blast battling it out. Put your RTS skills to the test in about a 30 minute action packed battle that you'll keep playing again and again. So grab your friend & check it out.
This is by far the most fun RTS game I have ever played. It's been appropriately referred to as "Easy to learn, impossible to put down!". It's just so easy to have a quick and fun match with your friends that it's my go to RTS game now. There's only a few unit and building types which makes it totally not intimidating to play unlike most other RTS games. But even though it's simple, it still has a ton of strategic and tactical depth. I love the pixel art too as it makes everything so easy to read. Great job to the developer of this amazing game!

"Pixel Wars" is a badly made and abandoned 2D retro pixel PvP RTS... with no players, for obvious reasons. Like, how drunk do you have to be to sit down and think, "Hey, what Steam needs is like, Starcraft, but with way shallower gameplay and really crap graphics!". Only the developer knows how bad their hangover was. You can't really play this game as intended because there's no players. Developers must learn that PvP, other players, are not an acceptable substitute for creating content. Without content, and without players, bad games die fast. As this did. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $5 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Fun, funny and awesome!

I'm a big enthusiast of RTS games and have spent numerous hours playing a variety of them. I must say, Pixel Wars stands out for its excellence. Unlike other RTS games that often have a steep learning curve just to grasp the basics, Pixel Wars makes it easy for players to get into the game quickly. I strongly recommend Pixel Wars and am excited to see what the future holds for this game!
Pixel Wars is a lot of fun. Easy to get started and quickly becomes engaging to the point where you start learning the strategy to build your hordes to battle the enemy. The pixel art is cool. Definitely recommend trying it out. Looking forward to playing more.
Fun, casual experience that is great for beginners wanting to try an RTS game or for friends looking to knock out a quick match. Games are fast but with some surprising tactical depth. Could use a little polish but the graphics are cute and charming, and the unit voiceovers had me chuckling the whole time
