Basically a demo for Kero Blaster, worth playing for the ending where you request a copy of Kero Blaster and there's some silly lines about games that aren't Kero Blaster

Pink Hour is a small but highly polished action platformer that demonstrates how a brief experience can still deliver charm, challenge, and memorable gameplay. Developed by Studio Pixel and published by PLAYISM, the game presents a simple adventure built around classic side-scrolling mechanics, colorful pixel art, and a lighthearted sense of humor. Instead of overwhelming players with complicated systems, it focuses on tight controls, clever level design, and the pure enjoyment of overcoming obstacles. The game follows a pink-clad office lady who must recover an important missing document after losing it on the way back to work. What begins as an ordinary workplace problem quickly turns into a fast-paced journey through dangerous environments filled with enemies and hazards. The humorous premise gives the adventure a unique personality, blending everyday situations with the imaginative world associated with Studio Pixel’s style. The core gameplay is built around straightforward action platforming, with players navigating through areas by jumping, avoiding threats, and defeating enemies. The controls feel responsive and precise, which is essential for a game that relies heavily on timing and movement. Every jump and encounter feels intentional, allowing players to improve through practice rather than relying on luck. The simplicity of the mechanics makes it easy to understand, but the challenge of later sections provides enough tension to keep experienced players engaged. One of the strongest elements is the level design. The game does not need a large world to create satisfying moments, as each section is carefully structured to test awareness and reflexes. Enemy placements, platform arrangements, and environmental hazards work together to create a steady progression of difficulty. The experience feels like a classic arcade-inspired adventure where success comes from learning patterns and mastering the controls. The pixel-art presentation is another major highlight. Studio Pixel’s visual style delivers expressive characters, charming animations, and detailed environments that give the game a distinctive identity. Despite its compact scope, every screen feels carefully crafted, with colorful visuals that enhance the cheerful atmosphere. The art direction successfully combines retro inspiration with modern polish, making the game visually appealing even for players who may not normally seek out older-style platformers. The soundtrack and sound design also contribute to the overall quality. The music captures the energetic and playful mood of the adventure, while the sound effects provide satisfying feedback during movement and combat. These small details help make the world feel more alive and demonstrate the careful craftsmanship behind the project. The biggest limitation is the short length. Players expecting a lengthy campaign or extensive progression systems may find the adventure too brief. However, the compact design is also part of its appeal. The game feels like a focused arcade experience meant to be completed, replayed, and enjoyed without unnecessary filler. Additional challenge content, including a harder mode with extra rewards, gives returning players a reason to revisit the adventure and improve their performance. Steam Deck compatibility is a natural match for this type of experience. The lightweight presentation, simple controls, and short play sessions make it well suited for handheld gaming. It is the kind of title that works especially well when played in quick bursts, making it a convenient addition for players who enjoy having smaller indie games available on a portable device. Overall, Pink Hour is an excellent example of focused indie game design. It does not try to compete through size or complexity but instead succeeds by delivering a polished, charming, and enjoyable platforming experience. Its appealing visuals, responsive gameplay, and nostalgic atmosphere make it a worthwhile play for fans of classic action games and Studio Pixel’s creative style. Rating: 8/10
A super short, free action game where you play as a pink office lady jumping over enemies to find a lost document. It's charming, simple fun with nice pixel art. Played on Steam Deck OLED: Runs perfectly on SteamOS, even installed on a microSD card. Zero issues. Great for a quick handheld session. Good: Fun, polished controls. Very cute style. Hard mode adds replay. Wish: Needs Steam Achievements! Extremely short (feels more like a demo). Verdict: A delightful freebie that runs flawlessly on Deck. Perfect for a quick 20-minute break. Just wish it had achievements! (Tags: Short, Free, Cute, Platformer)
Decent little game. After you complete it you unlock the whole thing on hard mode, which you can choose to play if you like that sort of thing. Regular was just fine for a casual player like me.

Pink Heaven is a Studio Pixel demo for a game by Studio Pixel from the creators of Cave Story (who might be Studio Pixel). The game is an entertaining mini-adventure with many reasons to try it out. Let's lay out the pros and cons: ---PROS--- 1. It is short so it won't take up too much time. 2. It provides a very small look at what the gameplay of Kero Blaster is like. 3. The music is pretty good. 4. The controls aren't complicated. 5. The game's isn't demanding on your hardware, you could probably run it on a toaster. 6. The game is cute. 7. The game is fancy. 8. The game technically has multiple endings. ---CONS--- 1. You can't immediately play hard mode. Which isn't too bad because the first good ending is cute. 2. Being able to quit to the menu at any point negates the point of of having limited lives, easily abusable on hard mode which is probably the only time you'd run out of lives anyway. As you can see, it is absolutely worth it to play this game, especially if you are a fan of Studio Pixel and the dozen ports of Cave Story.
