Garbage Asset Flip — [Buggy and dull]
This is yet another piece of shovelware added to the pile of asset flips 🧱 — but this one feels like there wasn’t even a real attempt to make a game. Let me be clear: I’ve played some bad games. I once played a game where the main mechanic was clicking a potato. But this? This is a new low. From the moment I launched it, Pinhead Adventures felt like someone downloaded a Unity tutorial, smashed random assets together, and said, “Yeah, that’s art.” 🎨🗑️ The gameplay? Imagine walking through molasses... while blindfolded... on a broken treadmill... controlled by a raccoon. The bugs? Oh, they're in there. The game crashed. I think it was trying to protect me. 🐛💥 The dialogue? Written by what I can only assume is a sentient toaster. The UI? Designed by someone who lost a bet. Now let’s talk about the name — Neversold. Never sold a copy? With this quality, that’s not a prediction — it’s a spoiler. 🧙♂️📉 Considering buying this game? You’d be better off throwing $15 into the fireplace. It would be far more entertaining than Pinhead Adventures.
Refunded faster than you can say “asset flip.” 💸🔥

I’m refunding this void of creativity and basic game development skills — and so should you.
Pinhead Adventures brings a new perspective to gaming. Level design and game play feel so refreshing and freeing. I highly suggest you give it a go !
This indie action platformer is fun, challenging and has a beautiful atmospheric feel. I really liked the innovative UI design, interesting use of storage and physics puzzles. It has a delightful whimsy to the characters. (If Orbo dies, we RIOT!) Playing this game feels, to me, like a love letter to classic games; Prince of Persia, Zelda and Mario 64. I can't wait to see where these guys take this clever, creative project!
This game was, in simple terms, not worth it. It started off with a sequence where you fly a poorly animated ship to respond to a call for help, which is conveniently very difficult to find and even once you've found it it takes ages to catch since it won't stay in range. After this, you crash land on a planet and stumble around trying to find what you're supposed to be doing, and while objects you can pick up are highlighted, it's difficult to know where exactly they go. It was inconvenient to have to pause the game to see the objective, and even when knowing what to do it was difficult to find out exactly how to do it. For a game that relies on the character's abilities being an interesting selling point, there's really not much to go on in the tutorial to master the controls and the Pinhead fails to live up to its potential in that sense. Also worth noting is the low quality graphics and the dark colours making it difficult to find where anything was. The only positive I can speak to with this game is that the character movement has potential; with a proper tutorial and some tightening up it might have been usable, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. This game put all its eggs in the basket of being aesthetically interesting at the expense of playability and story (I had to go online to find out what the weird snail bag thing following me around was or what it did), but it fails even to have good graphics. In all, we couldn't get through very much of the game before requesting a refund and uninstalling. We found the sound a bit annoying (Orbo's footsteps and sounds when highlighting options on the menu) and ended up being frustrated by the whole experience. In all, I can't recommend this game to anyone in good conscience, especially at this price. There are free app store and Steam games you can get that play far better than this and which explain things far better for players. I suggest any prospective buyers spend their money on something else.
I've only played the game a few hours, but its straight to the point Story line is enjoyable. Challenging Platforming (Maybe I just suck) is really fun! Controls feel solid and are easy to pick up. I'm looking forward to playing more and seeing what comes in the future!
Pinhead Adventures: A Retro-Styled Platformer Gem on Steam Pinhead Adventures on Steam is a delightful throwback to the golden age of platforming games, blending nostalgic pixel art with modern gameplay mechanics to create a captivating experience. Gameplay: 4.5/5 At its core, Pinhead Adventures excels in gameplay that feels both familiar and refreshing. Players control Pinhead, a lovable protagonist with a knack for bouncing on enemies and navigating intricate levels filled with traps and secrets. The controls are tight and responsive, essential for precise platforming maneuvers and timing-based challenges. Throughout the game, you'll encounter a variety of power-ups and abilities that enhance gameplay diversity, from the classic double jump to unique gadgets that aid in exploration and combat. Graphics and Sound: 4/5 Visually, Pinhead Adventures pays homage to retro aesthetics with beautifully crafted pixel art. Each level is bursting with vibrant colors and detailed sprites that evoke nostalgia while maintaining a distinct personality. The environments range from lush forests to treacherous dungeons, each accompanied by a fitting soundtrack of catchy chiptune melodies. The music enhances the immersive experience, complementing the action on screen and adding depth to the game's atmosphere. Story and Atmosphere: 3.5/5 While Pinhead Adventures prioritizes gameplay over narrative depth, it weaves a charming tale of Pinhead's quest to rescue friends from the clutches of Dr. Nemesis. The story unfolds through humorous dialogue and quirky characters, injecting light-hearted humor into the adventure. While the plot may feel familiar, the game excels in creating a lively atmosphere through its level design and character interactions, ensuring each moment feels engaging and enjoyable. Overall: 4/5 Pinhead Adventures stands out on Steam as a well-crafted platformer that pays homage to classic games while offering a fresh and engaging experience. With its polished gameplay mechanics, charming pixel art style, and nostalgic soundtrack, it appeals to both longtime fans of the genre and newcomers looking for a retro-inspired adventure. While the story may not be groundbreaking, the sheer fun of mastering challenging levels and uncovering secrets makes Pinhead Adventures a worthy addition to any platformer enthusiast's library. Strap in for a journey filled with delightful surprises and classic platforming thrills!
I see the vision, I am looking forward to 1.0 to drop, mainly hoping that the direction becomes a little more clear, but I'd like to play the game more because the movement, grappling hook and combat feel good. REALLY GOOD. I unfortunately suffer from ♥♥♥♥ brain so I did spend a lot of time trying to figure out what I was meant to be doing. Spent most of it sliding and grappling hooking around and finding mobs to fight. Overall? Feels fun to play, and I'm hoping gets more polish and sense of direction with the 1.0 release. P.S. I met one of the devs for this game at the bar nearly blackout drunk at like 1am and bought the game on my phone then and there. Forgot I bought the game until 3 days later when I saw it in my steam inventory. Worth it
