"Phoenix Contract" is yet another nasty iPhone game on Steam. It's not free, it's riddled with toxic mobile app microtransactions in the nasty real money cash shop that's integrated into every aspect of this shallow garbage.
Yet another Chinese browser/mobile scam, all the bright flashy lights you'd expect from a casino slot machine, zero actual depth, and everything tied to the cash shop. This is a scam.
So what game there is here is just a shallow iPhone screen tapper. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the too-bright, colourful, thin plastic cabinet dress theme on the slot machines at the casino. The minimal "game" aspect of this mobile app is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop.
Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is a mobile app. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library.
Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers.
Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at [b]only 7 concurrent players[/b]... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away.
All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead.
