Phaseshift

Off to a really promising start! The combat and overall gameplay is satisfyingly tough. Once the career mode and online play is in, this will be a really strong addition to any racing fans library.

[spoiler]I have more than 30 hours in total on Phaseshift, with many more to come. At the time of writing I do indeed have only 10.9 hours "tracked"[/spoiler] This is one of THE best racers I've played in recent times, [i]Yes, I think this is better than a lot of AAA racing games I've played in recent times.[/i] The driving has improved, the gameplay feels nice and now with the Early Access release its only going to get better. The visuals are amazing too, yes there are somethings I don't really like such as how bright some aspects of the game are, but I love the aesthetic of the Iceberg and City stages. The new Canyon stage is actually reminiscent of the Mars tracks from XGRA [i]whether I wanted or not I stepped onto a race track with the developer on Mars[/i], and I'm all for it. As it stands Phaseshift is an excellent title if you are looking for that fix for a game like Extreme-G or WipEout. I'm glad I stumbled across this game via Twitter by pure chance. As it is very nostalgic for me personally as I love the Extreme-G games and it feels like a spiritual successor of sorts. I would 100% recommend this game if you love combat racers! Oh and the developer actually looks at feedback! [i]unlike some modern big publishers...[/i] [spoiler]Not the Extreme-G Spiritual Successor I personally asked for, but the one I needed.[/spoiler]

Must say i'm more pleased with this than i thought i'd be... What i'm really looking for is a game like XGIII. Super fast, wheels bound to the track, visceral combat. I don't expect this to be exactly that, but it's closer than expected. This game has my full support.

Bought it to support it, it needs quite a bit of work still which I hope it gets... it is playable though now and can be fun, just needs more content and graphical improvements.

Finally! If you love the Extreme-G series this is for you, or for me at least. Overall the racing and controls are tight. Graphics and atmosphere are spot on with neo-cities. This is a game I prefer over Wipeout (although I love that series). I like the different style of combat, motorcycles and LACK of booster pads that this game has. I haven't played too long, sorry I'm just biased because this is the only Extreme-G-like game I can find. Pros: - Fun - controls - graphics/theme - For Extreme-G fans! - Different than wipeout (I love that game too) Cons: - Graphics are nice but sometimes too bright. - combat learning curve may frustrate at first, but gets better. - Bike hauls are the same, need customable hulls/bodies.

Fast combat racer, this gives you an excellent sense of speed. The modes with AI really get the heart racing, and then the time trial mode is a more chill change of pace. For an early access release after 1 week, the game feels quite polished. I haven't run into any obvious bugs. As with most EA releases, we're wanting for more content. There's about 5 levels (+ reverse tracks), so the biggest addition now would be more levels imo :) The little discord server is an inviting place.

This is a really fun combat racer and it is only the beginning. It is currently Early Access and the dev is active about the game. The racers are fast, exciting and explosive! Few different modes to try out and I think my favourite one is Elimination! However, the game is damn hard which is great. Even on Easy, I get my butt kicked! You level up and can change your weapons on your bike. There's another bike to that you can use. Few tracks to race on and can expect a career mode in the future! Playable and fun right now, things can only get better!

Even as an early acces it has tons of fun!
