Pest’Off began as a student-made First-Person Shooter and evolved into a full Steam release. Mutants are infesting the city, and you’re the one paid to clean it up. Take extermination contracts, wipe out aggressive mutants, earn cash, and upgrade your gear. Clock in, exterminate, get paid.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

About

Welcome to Pest’Off,
You play as a freshly hired Pest’Off employee, dropped into multiple locations crawling with aggressive, unstable mutants that were never meant to exist. Your job is simple on paper: enter the infestation, exterminate everything that moves, get paid, and move on to the next contract. In practice, it’s controlled chaos.
Each job throws you into hostile environments packed with unpredictable mutant threats. Clear areas efficiently, manage the risks, and adapt on the fly. The better you perform, the more money you earn and the more tools, upgrades, and opportunities you unlock. Stronger gear opens the door to tougher contracts, deadlier mutants, and bigger paydays.
This is not about saving the world. It’s about doing the job.
Clock in. Gear up. Exterminate. Get paid.
Pest’Off blends fast-paced mutant combat with progression-driven extermination contracts, putting you in the boots of someone who treats biological nightmares as just another day at work.
Because at Pest’Off, nothing is personal.
It’s just business.

From reliable firearms to heavy-duty crowd control, unlock a wide range of weapons suited for every extermination job. Adapt your loadout to the mission, switch tactics on the fly, and bring just enough firepower to get the job done.

Mutants come in all shapes, sizes, and bad ideas. Some charge headfirst, some move way too fast, some refuse to go down, and others make the mess worse if you let them. There is no “standard procedure.” Improvisation is encouraged.

it's impressive and i think if they get a better head for design encounters, pacing, and damage balance they could've just sold this tbh. as is it's still absolutely worth trying but it ramps up in difficulty and you get overwhelmed so fast it seems jarring and arbitrary. maybe skill issue too, fully admit, but looks like by reviews im not the only one. i think my only actual nitpick is the fire ammo is just kinda odd and shouldve been a toggle or something - it feels poorly thought through and given enemies just rush you not sure why youd want them on fire. unless i missed the prompt to toggle..
Good if u dont know what u wanna play relativly short but its a free 2 play game sooo u can do nothing wrong with it

Great for a student project, don't get me wrong - just playing it you can feel the drive to create a really fun game. However, it is terribly frustrating to play given the creators' inexperience. The graphics are choppy (visually okay/nice, but it shudders), hit boxes through walls feels cheap, and worst of all the monster spawning feels too invasive so there is no payoff for 'clearing' anywhere (closing doors behind you doesn't help either).
Yo Montreal School of Gaming Include invert mouse y axis, to let quite a big number of additional players appreciate your work
purty gud
While pretty basic it seems like a neat little indie game. :)
I think this game was like so close and almost something but the creatures do too much damage or you don't do enough another is how long it just takes to reload and heal especially in that first mission im crammed even outside where I don't catch space and burn through my ammo headshotting them

This game is great! While I wont play as long as I can't change keybinds, I'm very hopeful that it will keep being worked on. It's very close to a retail ready early access game. While I see many similarities to Surroundead, the story is different enough and this game has some features that Surroundead doesn't. I'm really hopeful it will keep being worked on and improved. I bought Surroundead and I'd be willing to buy a full version of this if it's fleshed out more. I'm keeping my eye on this one! Update: 06/02/2026 WOW! The dev updated the game to resolve key mapping so I can play without stumbling all over my fingers! I'm super impressed that they were responsive and listening to the players. Too bad big studios and AAA games don't do the same.
Well executed, especially for a student project. Level design is great, gameplay wise nothing fancy and a bit rough around the edges but it gets the job done. The introduction video and the tutorial section have a very "Valve-like" vibe (left4dead and portal). There are flavourful design decisions like the cigarette and beer for healing. Overall a good PVE FPS experience and plus it free you got nothing to lose trying it out.
