[h1]Story - Content[/h1] Perv’s Hotel, Lust from Sweden is an NSFW visual novel about a failing hotel that gets a visit from a manager for a Swedish women's athlete's group. The game starts as any other: two lovers who are slipping apart or having a sinking business and need to take a break or be momentarily apart. Our protagonist hotel’s business has been decreasing with customers and income. Instead of selling it, he still has his hopes for better times in the near future, while his partner wants to sell this hotel and move to New York for a fresh start. It ends up with them taking a break, and an offer comes up: let this manager and his athletes live and roam the hotel as their home. But the manager gets to set up spycams all around the hotel for the protagonist to watch/overlook. After proceeding with the story, a bit from the beginning, our protagonist gets put in his office, where the actual game acts out. It’s difficult to correctly categorize this game as it obtains the aspects of a visual novel but also the gameplay, where it’s less of a novel to say and more of an actual game where you have more options to choose what you do. With multiple of smaller encounters/scenes and dialogs. [u]While in the office, our protagonist gets these available choices[/u] Explore the hotel: (Exploring different parts can lead to proceeding with the story) Check the Spycams: (Allows the player to check on every of the girl's rooms and the toilet) Achievements: (Every intimate scene unlocked. EVERY Scene) Check your stats: (Like the name says, it displays your statistics) Skip to evening: (Different events can happen around the hotel or on the spycams in the evening) Check the game’s guide: (Needs to have cheats enabled to use) Enable Cheats: (Require a password) So, the whole game is based around the players own control and full decisions of how to proceed with the story or try to find out how to continue the story. Depending on what choices you make, it will affect the development of the protagonist, his mood, and his relationship with other characters. Unlocking different scenes and alternative endings. [b]Game Mechanics[/b] Under here is information about the game's mechanics and some personal opinions for a Swedish person themselves. Immediately I’ve found that the volume cannot be changed, or better yet, there aren’t any settings at all. Momentarily after I’ve found the Fullscreen button, which was a tiny text displaying “Screen” underneath the skip button down in the left corner. And the skip button skips forward through the dialogs without needing to have read them first. Usually, games allow you to read the scenes, and if a save file is somewhere earlier on, you can use the skip button to get to where you were or to the option where you maybe took another path. But in this game, you can just skip the whole dialog to the first option, and this would be alright in most cases, but in this game, you are unable to backup scenes or dialogs. All you get is this “backlog” with all the messages from the previous dialogs, but even that “backlog” has its limit, so if you skip too far, you’ll miss a lot of the dialogs. And these things alone pretty much ruin the experience for the game. The game also displays that they have 210+ Achievements, which turned out to be intimate scenes, dramatic scenes, or spicy scenes. And calling them “Achievements” when they’re not achievements on Steam or any kind of game achievement. Kind of confuses the meaning of it as its used in the game. Most cases it's called Library or something alike, for the player to select to see those scenes again without needing to replay the whole game. As an easy access, but calling it achievements and it reaches above +210? Simply put, No. Just no. The game doesn’t make a sound or show a specific color or icon for what points you gain, but there are three kinds of points that can be gained: Good Guy, Rebel Guy, and Cool Guy. A certain number of points in specified labels is required for certain scenes or story directions. The game doesn’t really give any information of what, when, or how the points are used then for some certain scenes. And as mentioned earlier, any kind of icon, color, or even just the text explaining which label you earned a point for. Here’s a little something to add on top of this game that could have used improvement or just, in general, thought through better. The manager's name is Swen Oscarsson... It's not even Swedish; if the developer had gone with Sven Oskarsson, then it would have been an actual Swedish name. Like they could have picked any Swedish name and any Swedish surname. That would have been acceptable. Or picked more modern female names for the athletes; all of the girls have very old and now days unused Swedish names. (And do please trust the actual Swede who is writing this review.) One last thing, the game has Sweden in its name, but it doesn’t support Swedish subtext nor have any Swedish words from these Swedish athletes at all. [h1]Visual & Audio[/h1] [b]Visuals[/b] The animations during intimacy are somewhat clunky, as it looks to be 3D prop ragdolls used. Since the protagonists' hands and feet jiggled so much that Sandstorm by Darude started playing in my head. Most of the body of each ragdoll was fine, but you could clearly see that it was made with ragdolls. And if I'm wrong about this, what the heck did you do, developer? But still, most animations are pictured animations, where the movement of the character is stale, casting different poses reused over and over. Colliding objects are almost found everywhere you look. From characters colliding, like their hands or bodies, to objects around the environment or clothes inside the washing machine. When it comes to the character build, the genitals are highly detailed and smooth up close. At least for the females, the best example is the first intimacy scene between the protagonist and his partner. But the glance in the characters eyes/their reflection is a bit too strong. [b]Audio[/b] Most of the time, there is no audio at all. Some intimate scenes can hold sounds and whatnot, but otherwise the whole gameplay is mainly simple silence. Even at the Steam page, the videos shown play no audio at all, what so ever. But what I've got was a game with girls who got older Swedish names, looked more American than Swedish, had no resemblance or connection to Sweden, no Swedish words, no flags, no icons. And the game doesn’t even support Swedish subtext. And the gameplay overall wasn’t really as enjoyable, to add on top of that as well the animations, from pictured animations to glitchy ragdolls. I am sure to say that this game is not recommended. And I hope the review wasn’t too compact or confusing. I looked and wrote down the most important parts that had to be added. Rating: 4/10

Completely pointless. Starts out like there is something to do with choices but quickly turns to no interaction with anyone but spy cam even if you don't wan't to go that route you have to. So now I've played for at least 3 hours and have had nothing happen but I believe I've seen every redundant scene on the cam there is. Tried exploring with different combinations of what places to visit first for the day and night but nothing just stuck in a permanent loop of watching spy cam and once you find a scene that's the end of that time of day, The days must be really short in this world and then start over the next day and do the same thing over again. Try to check guide and it says you have to unlock cheats with a password to turn on guide. What password? This does not go anywhere. This is really bad.
