An amazing and very emotional experience. I have no words for seeing my home town in ruins. The imagery is familiar from newscasts from war scenes, but now it just hits near home. The experience is short, but I imagine it is meant to be shown in public places for a lot of people. This is a powerful way to make people feel connected to people living in a war zone. I'm happy to see this kind of content in Steam. The image is more than a 360 photo, it's 3D, although you cannot move much. The enviroment could be richer. I kept looking for airplanes when I heard the sound.

[h1]Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers[/h1] This is an approximately 4 minute long non-interactive mostly cinematic experience. You're basically in the center square of Helsinki, Finland and see destruction similar to the destruction in Aleppo, Syria. The 360 3D visuals are excellent but mostly static. You're given the illusion that there's more going on because you'll see explosions, smoke, birds flying, & even a banner waving in the wind, but the scene is completely static otherwise. There are no people running around or traffic in the streets. You cannot move from this fixed location. The spatial audio is excellent as you can hear where the explosions are coming from and then look and see the night sky light up from that direction. For some strange reason, you're holding a cellphone in your right hand but your left hand motion controller does not show up. All in all, I think this is a good VR experience. Despite all the negative reviews, this is not propaganda or fake news or deep state. It simply shows what would happen to Helsinki if something similar happened there. I'm not sure how that could be considered political unless you believe that punching Nazis is political as well. War is bad. I think we can all agree on that. There are some factual tidbits about the consequences in Syria with the destruction and refugees. However, it does not advocate for any position, just presents the reality of the situation. Some snowflakes apparently can't handle that because it's not Fox News telling them how to think. [b]Rate 6/10. Good experience and production values, but a very short experience with only very brief information on the subject matter. I would have preferred to have seen the before and after actual destruction of Aleppo in VR. Even the experimental narratives (voice mails in English) are too short.[/b]

Very interesting to see Helsinki destroyed! The graphics are very immersive

Only ran after upgrading my SATA SSD to NVME SSD A pretty example of visual immersion, with great sound design. A strong political message that has less impact as I've never been to Helsinki, but good nonetheless. Worth viewing and then deleting.
