I only played single players levels and it is fun so far. I loved retro style gameplay. Also there are plenty of mechanics, which I also liked.
I usually avoided platforms like Steam because my computer isn’t that good, but after seeing my favorite streamer play this game and hearing that it doesn’t require a powerful system, I decided to create an account and try it out – anddd I’m so glad I did. I've now spent over 16 hours in single-player mode, and I’d like to share all of my impressions – both good and bad for people who are considering buying the game. I hope this gives you a better idea of whether or not it’s for you. For example: is this a game only puzzle lovers would enjoy? 1) Let me answer that last question early on, because not everyone has the patience to read through a wall of text 😛 (If you're here only for the single-player, don't worry – feel free to skip ahead to points 2 or 3, I talk about the single-player there too. But if you're looking for a quick answer: yes, you can absolutely buy this game and enjoy it.) So my answer is: definitely no, this game isn’t only for puzzle lovers. Even if you 'hate'' puzzles, you can still play with friends in the online mode, which I think is an amazing feature. I personally haven’t played online yet (I want to finish the single-player first), but the streamer I watch plays online all the time, and from what I’ve seen – even without trying all the modes – I can say this: it offers simple but creative gameplay that’s perfect for playing with friends. Just check out the end of the trailer and you’ll understand what I mean. For example: - If you’re into puzzles, there are co-op maps that require both players to solve something and enter the purple portal together. - If you hate puzzles, there are some seriously weird and fun non-puzzle game modes you can play for hours with a friend (football mod? or race for the flag mod?? :D) - Let’s say you’re waiting for a match, your favorite show, or a friend to join on Discord. Instead of wasting time scrolling through Instagram or Twitter (which is usually 20–30 painfully boring minutes for me), you can open Perplex, and within a minute you’re in a fun match with your friend. You can play for 5, 10, or 30 minutes and leave anytime. Unlike something like LoL, where you’re stuck in a 40-minute match and can’t leave if your friend shows up early, here you can jump in and out instantly, no pressure, no penalties. - Wanna decide who’s paying for dinner? Go 1v1 in Perplex and decide who will buy dinner in 2 minutes or 2 hours (it's completely up to you) You won't get bored if you play the game for a long time, but as I said, it gives you the opportunity to leave whenever you want 2) Since my PC is bad, I’ve played tons of puzzle games 😄 So I think I know a thing or two. First off: the visual design is simple, clean, and easy on the eyes. Some puzzle games are so visually cluttered that solving the puzzle becomes less painful than just looking at the screen. This one chose simplicity – but still paid attention to design. The backgrounds change depending on the stage, the effects when your character gets launched, the particles when hitting columns... you can even customize those effects to your liking. That kind of polish really impressed me, so it’s a solid 10/10 from me on the visuals and design. 3) Single-player mode Like I said, I’ve played a lot of puzzle games. Usually they fall into two categories: - Games that are way too easy just to satisfy players or appeal to kids - Or games that go “WE MADE THE HARDEST PUZZLES EVER” and end up being painfully boring and repetitive, sometimes over thousands of levels What made me spend so much time on 'this'' game – and what made me want to write all of this – is that it avoids both of those traps. Even someone who’s never played a puzzle game before can enjoy this one, learning step by step, figuring things out without rage quitting. Unlike those frustrating games, here when you die, you can see the exact path you took and understand what you did right or wrong. It’s part of the fun, and you can actually feel yourself improving. Plus, it’s not accidental – you can press the “H” key to view your past failed attempts (not as some random line on the map, but a well-designed mechanic that makes sense when you see it in action). This feature makes the game enjoyable for both puzzle addicts and total beginners. Puzzle veterans can push themselves on tricky levels, while beginners can learn and enjoy the challenge at their own pace. It might take longer, but it’s still super fun and satisfying. Now, back to something I hate in most puzzle games: > “They usually have 2000+ levels but they all feel the same. Same mechanics, same solutions, just over and over again.” Even though Perplex doesn’t have 2000 levels (yet), every stage brings a completely different type of puzzle. That’s honestly my only real criticism – that it didn’t advertise itself well enough. It’s way better than what the trailer or screenshots show. To give you an idea: - One level might be about simple movement into the portal - In another, a deadly arrow chases you - In another, you have to plan your moves in advance and then execute them - In another, your controls are reversed - Then the lights go out and you have to remember the map by heart... I don’t want to spoil too much. Just play and see how creative the devs got. Long story short: This game gives you way more value than its price suggests. Totally recommend it. And if you’ve read all of this – thank you so much! Enjoy the game! (Once I finish single-player and try the online part, I might come back to update this... Yes, even after writing all this :P)
Great as a side game while watching something. The online modes are surprisingly fun too, but it's way better if your friends have at least two brain cells.
This game is both chill and challenging. Definitely worth its money. The music and atmosphere is amazing and chilling. Pros: - As I've said, it is really challenging and I loved it - Single Player mod introduces new mechanics every 4-5 levels so didn't feel bored - Co-op and PVP modes are really fun Cons - Can't invite friends via Steam - If you are using a VPN, there might be connection issues Also it would be amazing if players can design their own levels and share them with other players. Edit: It seems like connection issues related to VPN are now solved, but it can cause lagging depending on the your VPN location.
oyunu oynarken adeta patso tanelerinin arasından kayan bir tereyağı gibi hissettim
it is addicting, i only started the game pass a little time and next thing i know more than 2 hours have passed. Definitely worth its money and if you enjoy puzzle games it is a must.
Incredible game, did not even realize how time past by. The coop mechanic is a cherry on top. Definitely worth to the price.
Great game for chill nights when you want to think, alone or with someone, but not about life.
Absolutely loved the neon aesthetic! The puzzles are cleverly designed and really make you think. , this game made me churn my brain like butter. It's both fun and challenging—especially with a friend! Great job creating such a cool retro-futuristic vibe!
