I'm recommending this due to the price point. 8hrs of play so far for $5. I do have some issues. I don't quite fully understand how the cards and slots work with the weapons. It's not well explained. When you unlock the monk, you just start dealing stupid damage, yet struggle with most other characters. I need someone to hold my hand and explain wtf is going on... besides that, I've been enjoying the game, I just don't know why or what I'm doing.
This is one of those moments where you wish there was a neutral option. This game is a good roguelike that is similar to Slots & Daggers, yet unique in its own way. I just finished 100%ing it, and it was quite fun. So what's wrong? Well, the game is unpolished, buggy, and very, very unbalanced. Some achievements reward before they should be. Some descriptions have typing errors. Sometimes. the game crashes from you going to the main menu. Some common relics are better than some mythical ones (there is also a rare that does the same as two mythical relics combined for some reason??), and there is one weapon that is so good, and is a STARTER weapon, that I've never even tried over half of the weapons in the game. So if you don't mind the occasional bugs, the lackluster tutorial, barebones story, and an almost complete lack of QoL features, this game is fun for its price tag (especially since I bought it for 80% off). I did, all in all, have a good time. But I don't think everyone would.

Very cool game, love the music art & gameplay. PLEASE MAKE STATUS EFFECTS BLOCKABLE BY SHIELD. thorns, burn, and poison going straight through makes it so attrition is virtually worthless. Especially thorns, the fact that I am forced to attack and take X unblockable damage doesn't seem fair in the slightest.
I came across this by accident. I don't normally play roguelikes but this one is really good. Runs are relatively short and have a defined end goal. The game's systems have a good balance between simplicity and depth. Some characters feel weaker than others but maybe I just didn't figure out the right strategy. I really enjoyed seeing just how broken I could make some builds.
A super fun indie game!
Ce jeu mérite plus de visibilité, c'est très sympa, bien équilibré, le design et la musique déchirent ! A tester !
So I got recommended this game by Youtuber Olaxia. Mostly because his choices in the game frustrated me to try it myself. First Run, using the Knight. Won against the Mine Boss, the Big Golem with a satisfying build, tried to run endless mode in the City and got knocked out by the big rats. Fair enough, build wasn't as optimal. So I tried using the other class as well, (Jack Pott, Leg'allin, and the Wizard (forgot the name) And I like the Wizard more than the other Champion. Jack Pott's primary attacks uses tomatos, so you have to beat the enemies in as fewer turns as possible, tried him multiple times. Leg'allin's still uncharted waters for me, have to try a few runs with her. But of all the Champion the Wizards got me close to beating two bosses before I got kicked in the City again. All this to say, I honestly feel like the 2 out of 3 champion you unlock are relatively weak to make a build out of. Their foundation is a little hard without money (which I quickly ran out of re-rolling often) and the time it works I didn't get enough time to get a feel. Maybe I need to more time, get gud as they say. Though I personally would like some meta-progression added, Like a skill tree for the respective classes that adds some more slots, a different attack move, just unlocks so starting a run feels smooth. And also Workshop support. This game's wide range of arsenal and enemies would fit a mod support type game. Anyways, great Godot game, super fun so far.
I'm a big fan of Vandermasen's games. They all feel familiar, like the ideas I'd have as a kid. This one was fun, but it does have a few bugs. Every single time I play as the wooden puppet, it randomly crashes during battle, and when I reload, it shows the save file as the peasant. Not a big deal, but I'd love to see it get fixed. Either way, I enjoy this game, and thank the creator! <3
Bought it on a whim after watching a certain content creator's gameplay video. I actually only watched it for like 5 minutes because I'm quite into roguelikes lately, and thought "looks cool and better than slots & daggers!". Huge mistake. Extreme RNG with no way to make up for it. I've played as the archer like 4 times. A character whose trait is "you can never get shield reels with this character". And 90% of the times I've leveled her up I've got the +1 to all your shield reels. Great. Uninstalling now.
