Greetings from Ukraine! I wish you good luck in the further development of the project.
Fun, smart concept, I wouldn't mind the ability to go full on masochist mode and disable the HP bar and just one life, I'm a Super Hexagon fan, I hate myself. also a wider variety of songs (or at least a genre tag somewhere on the song select) It'd be nice if some songs with a semi-consistent thumpy bpm were added (wouldn't have any recommendations off the top of my head but I think a song with a consistent thump would complement the gameplay well) also there's a weird bug when using the D-pad to scroll the songs, it seems to move to the next selected song, but it doesn't actually move the scroll position so you can be at the top of the list, and scroll using the D-pad and reach the bottom, while only seeing the initial 3 or so songs
"Pentagons Go WEEE" is is a really badly made QTE/Dance Dance Revolution ripoff with an ear-harmingly awful soundtrack and a gameplay gimmick where instead of moving in time with the beat, you dodge the beats. This is a terrible idea even if implemented competently, and unfortunately the technical implementation here is almost as bad as the soundtrack. The developer noticed nobody wanted this, so didn't bother finishing it. It remains on Steam to pollute the place and slightly lower the overall average quality of Steam. The developers abandoned this 3 years and 7 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The "game" here, such as it is, is of a pretty low technical standard. The implementation is basic, minmimum effort stuff, more like a 'weekend project' rather than a commercial/professional product... it's bad even compared to most amateur made games. An experimental piece... and the experiment is "can I spend $100 on Steam Direct and then call myself a game dev?" While that $100 spend on Steam Direct probably made the developers feel good about themselves, we have to ask why this kind of thing is good for gamers. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy". Yes, contemporary 3D graphics take a lot of time and effort to create. That doesn't mean it's okay not to bother! Developers must try to understand that gaming is a visual medium, and gamers spend a lot of money on high end gaming rigs for a reason. And that reason is not so they can look at lazy, phoned-in half efforts like this. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Given that this free title won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Not going to complain about a second version of Super Hexagon, especially for free
