Feels like I'm in a rick and morty universe, scamming some aliens. 내가 외계인들을 속이고 릭 앤 모티 우주에 있는 것처럼 느껴짐.
I'm conflicted here because I do think there's a great game in the making here, but it's in no way ready for release or Early Access.
Gameplay loop
There's just not enough to do every day. In reality you can do one thing a day. You can either open the shop, go hunting/looting, or go buy a storage unit. Normally this would be fine but there's just not much to each gameplay element. Opening the shop is just haggling with customers, and it's incredibly easy to extort them. Giving the customers a wallet, like/dislikes, and allowing you to recommend items would help a lot since you'd have to get to know the customer better, and the back and forth game would be more of a puzzle. Buying the storage unit it just traveling to a planet and throwing money at a wall. There's no real gameplay, you're just spending a day to bid on random loot. Having more ways to find out what the loot could be, or ways to interact with other bidders and rig the bid would be fun. Hunting for loot is just.. Not great. It's an extremely rudimentary first person shooter segment which doesn't feel very nice to play at all. It feels tacked on, like the devs played Recettear and thought "Yeah, we need combat.". The issue here boils down to feel (Shooting and killing enemies doesn't feel great). I was just going from room to room shooting a couple enemies and collecting a few items on the floor.
UI
The UI in Pawn Planet isn't great. It does the job once you understand what's going on, but there's quite a few issues with it.

No tooltip/hover text when mousing over an intractable (Repair, bed, ship, etc)
Repair menu doesn't tell you how long repair will take until AFTER you've committed
Customer stats are off in a corner of the screen, and don't feel impactful
I didn't notice where my health was in combat, or that it was going down until I died.
Opening a menu doesn't center the mouse or put themouse on the point of focus. This is an issue because the mouse cursor isn't locked during gameplay, so moving around leads to the mouse almost always being on the edges of the screen when opening a menu. Alternatively, locking the mouse when not shown would be fine.

Art
No notes, I love it. The art design is on point and it's clear a lot of thought and effort went into it.
Final notes
There's more, but I feel like that's the most important. This is a game that I hope becomes something great in the year to come, but unfortunately it currently feels like more of a late prototype. It very much feels like a game that's in the end phases of the greenlighting process at a studio, but with VERY pretty art.

First and foremost, it is not clearly identified that this is a restricted feature demo. Thought I would give it a shot because I like giving new releases a shot. However, a number of things were straight out the gate problematic for me: 1. The English prompts and guidance had a number of logistical issues and some language problems that made them difficult to understand at times. 2. Items have inconsistent labeling within the game so it is not immediately clear that you are buying what you need. 3. Immediately after opening the shop on the first day, a thief was introduced without so much as a mention that people would steal from you, especially during a supposed tutorial. - There are no visual cues to tell you who is stealing, and they don't tell you that they are thieving until after they are heading out the door. - I also learned that even if you catch the thief, you don't actually salvage the item by guarantee. There is apparently a number of times you're supposed to hit them in order to keep the item they are taking, but the game doesn't give you indication. 4. The labeling of items for repair; the labeling is inconsistent, and they are VERY expensive compared to what you're able to earn. I guess you can sell poor quality products to get less money but who would really do that anyway? And you can only fix one item at a time, it takes a full day, and even after all that, thieves will steal the item and run off like no biggie. It really frustrated me. 5. Going to auctions: You cannot enter bids, you have to use presets, and then you get a unit with 9 boxes that only has 2 items in it. - when you take them back to the shop, you will find yourself with stats that say you paid $X for the item when that's what you paid for the auctioned storage unit... Meaning it's impossible to gauge your profits or the reasonable pricing you can haggle for. 6. The UI is okay but some of it just makes no logical sense. For example, having to set your destination in the "storage" section of the computer, which wasn't a clear pathway... You get a prompt arrow telling you to go the ship, then the ship entry prompts you to go to "storage section of computer" and set your destination rather than simply selecting on a map in the ship. "Storage computer" made me think it was telling me to use the comp in the backroom, which is locked down because this is a demo, so I was running back and forth till I surmised the actual guidance... which was still sluggish and clunky to me. 7. After playing for less than an hour, all sound and music in the game cut out and then appears to have altered my local sound recognition, leading to my stream going dead silent. The game randomly started playing sound again but all of my sound settings had been affected and required me to manipulate them back into recognition. This could have been a coincidence, but it seems only too convenient of timing for the issue at hand. Also to mention... I was streaming this and had a random person follow and begin telling me about the game, which I suspect was someone on the dev team. They intruded on the conversational space and then didn't respond in any meaningful way to my trying to speak to the game in real time. I don't know if they are checking in on anyone that gives it a try or what, but it was very strange to me... there is only one follower for the title on Twitch, so this is what makes the most sense to me, but it's incredibly strange and unprofessional to do that as a dev and not identify yourself immediately, in my opinion. Overall, I think it has A LOT of work left to do and I'm not going to keep playing it. I'm already frustrated to a level that makes it not fun for me... and I generally love these simulation games. From my perspective, they used the well-polished assets created by an artist or game asset creator and married it with a collection of language and interaction points that are lacking attention to detail. I do not plan on trying the full version, especially if we're expected to pay for it after this is the initial demo launch.
My friend who I play Counter Strike 2 with said if I post a review on this game and it gets 5000 likes and 5000 Awards that he will buy me a RTX 3080 and 2 Kilos of The lamb ham. Pawn Planet is just a demo, it does have a nice all around feel to it. While Pawn Planet is early access, at the moment there is not much to base a my thoughts on. The game is very repetitive and annoying at times. But that may change when the release occurs and until then, I will point out one thing that was nice to see. At least the developers are listening, which is more then one can say for a lot of games these days. When I first tried the game I had a major VSYNC issue, and a hot fix was rolled out hours later. For that I am will to try PAWN PLANET when the release date comes in August. If you are interested why not see what the DEMO offers, and wishlist it if you like what you see. APPROVED!!! Nice game but need more elements to the shooting but it's fun to bring the loot and sell it. Also I hope there will be weird gambling games to earn more money in the release.
LEIDER VOLL HESSLICHE GRAFIK wieso ???? Unity hat so mega asset ? wieso solche ?
I love this. I have played other pawn sim games but this is my favorite so far. The art is cute, the vibe is fun and silly. You get to hunt aliens and get thing to pawn from the raids, you get to repair items, upgrade you your shop. I cannot wait to get my hands on the full release.
Somethings reminds me the moonlighter about this game. I think I want to see more gameplay elements like in moonligther. That would be much fun but great game overall.
Selling and Purchasing are easy, no real money is needed, travelling to other Planet is fast and enjoyable, and some Real Time Bidding. You can even repair items but It's going to take a whole day to finish the task.
