I almost gave up on finding a game that scratches the strong itch Nova Drift left behind. After absolutely binging it for a whole day I can say: This is it! The combinations you can do combined with the skill expression is such a fun combo! I can't recommend it enough if you like similar games.

This game is really fun
Bigidigo banger
I dunno, I like this a lot, it is extremely addictive. However, the success of your run is 100% down to the RNG of your pickups, and a lot of the time that RNG is completely garbage. Also, I am pretty sure game developers figured out, 50 years ago, that when a thing pops up on-screen to indicate that a bad guy is about to spawn there, a bad guy soon spawns there. You do not get the pulsing visual notification of a bad-guy-spawn, and then the bad guy doesn't spawn there, but in fact spawns somewhere else entirely. Stuff randomly spawning on top of you and damaging or killing you is lame, and bad guys having line-of-sight from off-screen is lame. Tweak the RNG so it sucks less, fix the entirely random game-ending spawns, and take an overall balance pass, and we're onto a real winner here.
Such a fun little game! Already addicted :)
Great music and gameplay
This game is perfect for me because you can pause in the middle of a run. I love Risk of Rain 2 so much but I can hardly ever commit to a whole run because I can only game for 30-60 minutes at a time. I love the visuals, the music, the variety of different strategies and the pure fun. LOVE THIS GAME.
To sum it up, It's pretty and fun. Try the demo and see if it's your alley. HLTB cites 3 hours, but i doubt i'll beat it in 12. Theming is surprisingly dynamic, and is very pretty. This is no "Osmosis Jones." It answers all my issues with The Binding Of Isaac series, and hasn't bored me once yet. Effectively, you level up and get passives, then evolve to a higher form with more slots for weapons/passives. You can also stack organelles to upgrade them for higher damage when you run out of room! Organelles go into your slots, and act as Weapons, Mitochondria (passives and actives), and Flagellum[movement and dodge upgrades.] It mostly plays as a top-down arena shooter, moving room to room, but each level feels fairly unique and hasn't gotten stale yet. Fairly difficult, 100% achieve gamers be forewarned.
