Pathogenic

This game is great. It draws strongly from other twin stick roguelike/light games you are probably familiar with, but it does it in a good way. Visuals are great, music is superb, balance is pretty good. A nice challenging game made with care. Well worth the asking price. Runs fine on my potato.

It is addictive! But sometimes it is too much RNG to get a good build to get past the Lung stage..

incredible roguelike/bullet hell. super engaging bosses, fun upgrades and insane combo potential. The different pathogens actually all play differently. the "splitscreen" multi-player is perfect as a "girlfriend/spouse" game. just give them all the guns and you move and dodge.

I wish I could leave a neutral review, but overall this feels like the best educational game ever made, one of those games you'd play at some kiosk in a museum or a teacher would send you to kill time. And while in that sort of context it would be amazing, ultimately it falls short of all the actually great roguelikes of which there are many.
