Lazy, half-assed, and barely a fraction of the quality of the first game. I criticized it on a certain forum as well, and Droid Productions themselves tried to insult me when I said Paradise Lust 2 lacked the passion of the first game and was just an afterthought to Sinner's Landing. They didn't give a ♥♥♥♥ that I bought this game for full price when it has less than 1/3rd of the content and quality of Paradise Lust, they called me ungrateful and told me I shouldn't buy Paradise Lust 3 because it will be just like Paradise Lust 2, a shorter development cycle with less quality and quantity with a half-assed dev team spread too thin over too many projects. Barely 34 scenes with hardly any new content for returning girls, 25% of the paintings you could make in Paradise Lust 1, and a complete lack of repeatable night visit content where you could do the scenes from Paradise Lust 1 again without going into the gallery. It's like they just don't care they are turning their best IP into a kinetic novel with more puzzles and minigames than good content.
The first game was soo good, which is the main reason why this one gets a thumbs down. This installment is lacking in every respect (except price) compared to PL1. The storylines are shorter and less fleshed out. Total scene count is about halved; old characters are missing and new ones have little content. Minigames and Paintings are once again cut back compared to PL1 and new mechanics are a bit half baked (money). The French dude is also one of the most lazily written characters I've ever encountered. He has no story, he's just there to supply a contrived problem when the devs need something to beef up an update. All of this could be forgiven had they not launched a THIRD ONE and begun to wind down development of this one. The devs seem to care more about having another go at my wallet instead of rounding out a game with great promise.
Overall I really liked the premise of this second game! Being able to develop the island and transform it into a vacation spot and having to manage it is very interesting to me. It will allow for recurring characters to stay but also, new ones to come on vacation! But unfortunately it stops there, the game just seems too rushed to release a 3rd game and make money of your back. Most of the girls only have one or two scenes and several of our favorite girls from the first game don't return and don't have any. In the end, you will have more or less half of the scenes from the first game, around 30ich instead of 60 and more. The minigames are there, and the possibility of skipping is there, but the timer before being able to skip is sometimes quite long. Additionally, I got the impression that the Flexie team seems to be trying to venture more into softer, point-and-click adventure games rather than sticking with erotic/hentai games recipe. So, at the moment, I can't recommend this game. Just play the first one and leave it at that.
Completely unfinished product when it launched, felt not just short, but actually empty. The devs should have given more respect to the beautiful first game. Now #3 is coming, lets hope for the best...
Nowhere near as good as the original; seems to be a cheap regurgitation of that game.
too much bug this second cap its so scam
Loved the first game and immediately bought both sequels upon finishing. After having wrapped up everything in the 2nd game, it just left me with a sense of being incomplete. The writing and art was solid and I have no complaints about the technical elements of the game, but the level of content leaves you wanting. Many of the original girls didn't return in any significant manner, which I get not everybody was going to return, but there were plot elements that definitely alluded to certain characters having a bigger role than they did. Other returning girls also had plots that just cut off midway through the game and you never revisited them again. All of the new girls are great, but it felt like Scarlett and Ryoko were the only characters who got any significant development and even Ryoko literally left off with a bit of a cliff hangar. Too much time spent with the new characters and almost no time spent with the returning fan favorites. Mini-Games were more lacking in variety this time around and the ones we did get felt much more tedious than in the first game. I found myself guessing on how to solve a few of them and it ended up being trial and error while I stared at the percentage bar. Night Visits were removed from the game, relationship and energy levels were replaced with an effortless money system (there was never any point to talking to the girls outside of completing quest events.), only a handful of painting spots were added and almost entirely limited to the new girls. Overall while I still think it was a solid game for fans of the original, it's definitely not worth a full-price purchase. It's more like a standalone expansion than a sequel. The 'Yes or No' review system doesn't really do the game justice, so if I were to review this game it would be a 7/10.
All the things that I loved about the first game - characters, art, humor, minigames, it is all present in the second game on the same or higher level. Therefore, I would not hesitate to recommend this game. It is a worthy continuation of the first game. The main difference I see is that the second game focuses more on the visual novel part of the game, reducing the amount of "game-like" features that the first game had. Yes, the second game is shorter than the first one, but I still managed to get over 40 hours in for one playthrough, which is quite a lot for an AVN game imo (the first game is exhaustingly HUGE, so comparing can be difficult). The playtime is cut mostly by reducing the number of fetch quests, collectibles, removing the mobile apps etc., focusing one the storyline, which is more linear than in the first game. Things like energy meter and affection were removed, which makes the second game less grindy. On the other hand, without all these small mechanics that make it feel more like a game, I must admit that the second game does not scratch that "gamer itch" as much as the first one. I guess gamers just like affection meters, playing economy with the character's time and energy, looking for collectibles, and so on. The story of the second game is much different from the first one. There is no mystery to solve, no people are lost and need rescuing, the island is mostly known, so new locations are seldom revealed. Instead, the second game focusing on building up what the first game introduced - the relationships with all the girls, and the locations we know. And it does that very well. It is quite impressive that the story manages to give screentime to every girl from the first game while new characters are introduced. The downside is that 3 girls from the original cast are not present on the island at all; they are only included in videocalls. IMO the two new villains of the story are more interesting than the villain of the first game. That guy was simply an a$$. The villains of the second game are either more funny or more nuanced than him. Overall though, the story felt a little bit...unfinished. Or at least the finish was not very satisfying. In the first game, it was clear what was the endgame, but this time, the cast is no longer trying to get off the island, so there was no clear final objective.
First game was lightning in a bottle. This one is pretty boring in comparison. One thing I loved about the first one was the amount of content and access to fun times at any time. Can't say the same about this.
