About This Game
Papered is a fast-paced first-person arena hack-and-slash set inside a living sketchbook. In a world made entirely of paper and ink, drawings come to life — and you’re the one cutting them down.
Fight through chaotic arenas where enemies are printed, sketched, and assembled from paper. Slice them apart with scissors, tear through them with your blade, and splatter the world with ink as the battlefield slowly fills with color.
Every enemy you defeat bursts into paper fragments. Collect them, upgrade your weapons, and push your build further as the arena fills with increasingly dangerous foes. But beware: the world fights back. Enemies evolve, printers churn out reinforcements, and the chaos grows with every minute you survive.
The longer you last, the more intense the fight becomes.

If the game weren't a raw piece of ♥♥♥♥ and were actually fun to play — with different weapon tiers, more upgrades, and more interesting and smarter enemies — then you could even confidently sell it. The theme and style of the game are actually pretty cool.
Very Dumb. VERY unfinished. But has a lot of fun potential! There's no time for an explanation, {or even a start menu apparently} there's paper bastards to kill! Every punk you chop up turns to fragments, which are the upgrade currency for your weapons/stats/skills. The baddies are endless, so the only goal is to survive as long as possible. The artstyle is crappy in the best possible way, and the paper dudes getting chopped up is a nice touch. Your vision also gets chopped as you take dmg. So the concept and look are great, BUT this currently has major gameplay issues: #1 First and most important....not only can you NOT pet the cat, but you ACTUALLY HURT IT?!?!? This atrocity needs to be corrected ASAP! {or at least made optional} #2 As I said before, there's no start menu, it just throws you into it...and you'll immediately get your butt handed to you...This will either make players scream: "WTF IS THIS ####?!?!" or "ope, guess we're doing this!....well that was quick. Wonder if I can do better?" A start menu/brief explanation could mitigate that 1st reaction. Also, if there's a way to exit the game, I didn't find it, had to alt+F4...so the overall menu interface needs to...exist. #3 The stat upgrades make things a bit easier, but while HP boosts well, it seems like the ATK/speed boosts are barely worth bothering with...HP and ATK also have 100 LEVELS EACH, they probably don't need that many, and I dunno who would grind that much. So the upgrades need adjusting still. #4 The skills are ok, but the cage should probably keep things out as well as in. Could also use more weapon variety. {^ these gripes are minor tho} #5 There needs to be some kind of spacing between the player and the enemies, as they can get DIRECTLY onto you, which makes them very hard to hit. They should probably have sound as well so you can gauge if they're sneaking up behind you. #6 As I'm writing this the enemies seem unable to jump.
You can use this to make the battle ENTIRELY one-sided in your favor.
^That's all, but the game is early access, and these issues should all be improvable! {Also, a difficult survival game like this could stand some achievements to make the effort worthwhile eh?} I messed around with it for about 30min, and flaws aside, was having fun! I hope the dev continues to polish it up. As is, it's a dorky mess, but after some improvements I'll gladly come back and rip some more doodle dudes to bits!

The game’s animations and visuals are cute; however, when we use the R ability, enemies attack the ability itself instead of attacking us, which should be fixed. Additionally, it would be better to add invisible walls around the map. Apart from these, more upgrades and a wider variety of weapons could be added to the game. Overall, the game is quite good and could become even better with further development.
bon jeu pour passer le temps
good game but i have this glitch where on level 9 none of the enemies would spawn and i had to press alt f4 to exit the game.

Hello, I’m Boyan. This is a playtest review of Papered. This review is part of my initial portfolio work and is offered for free, as I’m building experience in game testing and feedback. Not bad. I like how it's not easy to survive if you try to do it conventionally. Also, if you spam 'R' for walls and spam 'LMB' all while in a corner of the map, it becomes a simple infinite round strat.
the game play feels nice love that game its rly easy to understand rly straight forward its pretty stressful but i loved it its nice a nice niche lil game
Enter game. Kill cat. Repeat.
