About
Dawn Of The Millenium - the year is 2001. You're a novice librarian tasked with keeping things running smoothly and closing up shop for the night. Sort out the shelves, maintain the utilities of the library and take calls as they come in - but keep your ears to the ground; there's something sinister unfurling in Maple Falls County.
Logic-oriented puzzles and mechanics make up most of this game with a fully integrated physics and object-grabbing system, drawing inspiration from horror games of the past and present.
The game takes roughly 30-60 minutes to finish depending on your own individual pace. It features multiple paths the player can take, and even has a secret easter egg. Think you can find it?
Highly recommended for playing in the dark - the muted orange hue of the library coupled with the dark atmosphere should be very easy on the eyes. An ideal game for those seeking a cozy indie horror experience. Also, headphones are a big must if you enjoy immersive 3D sound design.

that was a really nice experience, the music and atmosphere was amazing, had me pretty scared sometimes. i chose the basement ending and it was really creepy.
Great voice acting, spooky atmosphere, interesting story too with the tapes
Well, I didn't go looking for a fire exit and they probably didn't fire me. The library boss may be pleased.

a not that scary atmospheric horror with a few jumpscares that's worth playing considering it's free
The game is predictable and boring, one jumscare and a very very long windup for nothing, the game having no save files or checkpoints and a short runtime is for the better since playing the game again for a different ending is not desirable. There are better horrors that not only scare you better but raise interesting questions leaving you with something after you complete it.

Really good for a free game! Excellent atmosphere and plenty scary.
there are bones of a good game here. it's quite nice-looking, a lot of detail in the map and objects. the voice acting was very good for a free little game (even screams of pain/horror, which frequently come off as ingenuine). the two puzzles (the book symbol and the boiler room door) i did were satisfying. standing on the books causes you to spin like you're standing on a tiny merry-go-round, which was kinda neat. there was a few things i found frustrating. admittedly i am a natural game-breaker who can't read. for me, right click to pick up items and left click to smack them around a bit was unintuitive. my first attempt, i forgot that right clicking was an option and was attempting to hold lmb to pick up items. i accidentally smacked a book off a desk and it ceased to exist entirely, soft locking me. i also had books clipping against bookshelves if i walked too closely to them and then flinging out of existence. i'd prefer an inventory, like for the tapes, rather than floating objects. some of the instructions were not as literal as i needed. if you tell me i'm putting away fiction books but hand me music, physics, and french history, i'm going to believe these are the wrong books. on re-read it made more sense, but only with the context of having found the right books. the flashlight reflecting off items you're holding was blinding, and you have to set items down in order to turn the flashlight off, which then makes it hard to find the item again. i died. not sure if that's one of the official endings or not, but i'm not willing to put away books or sweep again to find out. i am absolutely nit-picking because i assume a free game is seeking feedback. this is much better/smoother than the other free to play short horror games i've played. the story is interesting, the map is nice looking, the creepy man behind the shelves was fun to chase. feels like a lot of love was put into this little game.
another interesting and creepy little banger
