Pacific Drive

I have never reviewed a game until now so give me grace. My partner shared his steam family with me, he plays fps games i don't really like. So one day i was looking for something to play and came across this and asked him about it, of coarse he has never played it and got it on sale or something. So I thought I'll try it, and boy oh boy was I glad I did. At first I didn't really play it much, even stopped for about a month. After a while i decided to give it a try again, and slowly I fell in love with it. The driving mechanics are perfect and having so many ways to customize your build is super cool and was very well done. The characters are also something else. At first i hated Oppy but slowly grew to love her alongside the other characters. The story is very well written. My favorite part was just hearing everyone interact and the cassette tapes really helped with understanding the story. The art style is also very pretty but not to scary. This game is definitely my top 10 and I am so glad that I gave it a chance. I really hope to see more games from these guys in the future. I played this game on -GreenFrog8789

This is exactly the game you (probably) think it is, like if The Long Drive and the PNW Horror genre had a kid. Music is on point, sound design is better than most games I can think of. Story (while I haven't finished yet) is very good but feels supplementary to the atmosphere (which imo is a good thing). Full price is a bit steep for this game, but definitely would recommend on a sale. Genuinely a brilliant experience and I can't recommend enough.

Game is extremely fun, i loved the exploration and the technical parts of solving quirks and seeing all of the anomalies around. Definitely a solid 8.5 in my book.

Great Game Love it, great story telling and very cool concept loved it played for 3 Days and realised that i've allrady finished the game. 100/10 definetly will play it again in the furture

it just hits different. light on survival, but it has upgrade trees, a story, voice acting, pretty solid

Honestly? I don't get it. The progression bottlenecks at weird points on resources that just demand tedious repetition, and as a result I never got to anything I'd really call "Compelling story". If I felt like I could gather properly intriguing bonus stuff while getting the... whatever the hecks I needed to warp better--something like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s anomaly diving--that woulda been pretty sweet. But as I recall the game from when I bought it at release? Nah. Not sure I'd have even been interested for $10 is I knew what I was in for.
