This is a pretty great game. I would recommend this to someone who is interested in a game where you spend almost all your time driving around the pacific northwest and collecting resources or doing car maintenance. I think that the best thing about this game is the environment. I quite enjoyed driving through the outer zone. I really enjoy the way that the larger pipes and other structures blend into the forests. I also think that the sound design in quite good. I think that the sound of the rain betting on the roof of the car is quite nice and really helps with making you feel immersed in the world. I think that when starting out the sounds of the anomalies are intimidating. The music also fits with the theme of the game and into the world well. I also found it enjoyable to find the log book entries and the different audio logs/podcast episodes. Another thing I thought was done well was the car. I think that the car had enough parts that you can customize it and it feels decently like a real car but there is not too much friction. This game does a good job at making car maintenance enjoyable and fun. All that being said, this game is not perfect. The game play is repetitive and the performance is not great. The game play is mostly picking a route. Driving around between the different areas collecting stuff. Having your car break. Getting your car functional enough to finish the trip. Then, getting back to the shop and doing repairs before doing that all over again. If your like me and you enjoy that game play the game is fun but if you do not than you will not enjoy this game. The other problem is that I think the game should run better than it does. It does not run badly, at least for me, but it should run better than it does. I get about 80-90 fps when walking around the garage with everything on ultra. 80-90 fps is not bad but I don't think the game looks graphically intensive enough to be running at that frame rate. I would expect at least a stable 100. Overall, I think that the game is one of my favorites. I enjoy the world and way the game immerse you in it. I could honestly spend hours just driving around in the zone with no goal that's how good the environment is. I enjoy the game play despite it getting repetitive. I have not touched on the story although I do think it is solid. Its not the best but I enjoyed it. If this game looks interesting to you I would encourage you to try it out.
