A great (and free!) game to scratch the puzzle itch in your brain. Safrosoft RoX was one of my favourite games when I was a growing little PC gamer two decades ago, so I was extremely happy to find the remake on Steam; it's essentially the same game with a few touch-ups. I'm really glad the OG soundtrack is an available option, though I still miss the iconic main theme - would be great if it could be added in a future update as main menu & level completion music!
OxRox perfectly captures the magic of the original RoX while refining the experience for modern players. The new bonus levels are a standout, providing an extra layer of challenge that shows just how much potential this game still has. I love how the familiar mechanics of digging, avoiding rocks, and solving puzzles remain intact, but the updated physics and sleek visuals make it feel fresh. Plus, the inclusion of leaderboards and Steam Workshop for custom levels adds an exciting competitive and creative element. For anyone who grew up with the original or is new to this genre, OxRox is a fantastic blend of nostalgia and innovation.

yes yes yes! this is peak puzzle and logic game of all time. I cannot believe I still remember that first 20 levels. I am grateful for the devs who did this remake and put it on steam for free. I would love to see og version 1.2 soundtracks.
dzięki tej grze przypomniały mi się czasy dziecinstwa jak grałem w 2006 roku jest dobrze zoptymalizowaną grą
Heya, Frotty asked me to re-download his game on Steam (I played the release without a launcher a few years ago), so I did! The recreation of RoX, OxRoX, feels true to its original in terms of gameplay, controls, object behavior, etc. The keyboard controls are identical to those in the original game. The gamepad controls are simple and easy to master but could use more clarification in the settings. OxRoX runs smoothly on Box64 (Linux ARM to x64 wrapper) and Windows on ARM. It's also natively supported on both Windows and Linux - well done! The leaderboards could benefit from filters for friends, global rankings, favorite users, and offline rankings. A search function for specific users to compete with would also be a great addition. The menu looks a bit cluttered, but I'm sure this will be addressed later. Overall, I'm very pleased with the recreation of one of my favorite childhood games for PC! =) Cheers
Awesome!
Vibes ruined by the stock ass modern interface
Needed to get the review out of way - it's great to see this early 00s freeware resurrected for modern systems! Much more convenient to play than trying to get DxWnd working on the original! I can attest the game is as faithful as the original!
Such an amazing port! it kinda loses the old vibes without the style of the surreal menus and fonts of the original game, but it's still worth your time for old and new RoX fans! Suggestion: put a "Mix" option so we can have both the original game music and the CD ones!
