About
You play as a Monarch in possession of an ancient soul-stealing crown with magical abilities. With its power, establish a kingdom in a perilous wilderness and defend it from mutants and bandits roaming the land.
Build, gather resources, farm the land and more to turn your fledgling realm into a commanding, self-sustaining kingdom. As your fame grows, more will flock to your banner – but so will those who have come to overthrow you.
Construct a kingdom from scratch and transform the wilderness into a developed community. Decide which buildings go where, and then manage your citizens to automate everything from there! Don’t like where you placed something? Just pick it up and toss it somewhere else!
Throw whole trees at the sawmill to make planks or run through the forest carrying your sawmill to absorb trees along the way! Resource gathering is fun and easy thanks to your crown’s power. Or maybe you have too many enemies around. Pick up monster nests and place them near bandit camps to have them fight each other instead (and obtain free loot!).
Villagers being eaten by mutants? Run across a lake at 100 km/h to rescue them in time! Being shot at by outlaws up in the hills? Spin-attack so fast that you take off like a helicopter and descend on them from the skies!
Manage resources and stockpile enough food to last the winter. Guard your farmlands (and peasants) from hungry mutants while waiting for your crops to grow. Keep polluting workshops away or see the land turn barren. Ultimately, keep your people happy or see them desert you for the outlaws.
Overthrown can be played offline in single player, or with a group of up to six friends in online co-op!

I lost interest after 30 minutes. Honestly it's really disappointing, I really liked the unique ways you were able to interact with the world, like being able to pick up whole sawmills and bringing them to the trees instead of the other way around, but there's like no reason to? Even though that's the whole gimmick of the game, that you have ludicrous ways of interacting with the world?
A very cute town builder with a twist of blending third person melee combat! I love the animations on the player character, especially running through rivers / ponds. As others have mentioned, content wise you will see pretty much all the game has to offer within the first few hours, but the same can be said of minecraft. But if you fundamentally don't enjoy just building pretty towns then... this might not be for you. Hucking a tree into a sawmill never gets old for me personally though lol Excited to try the new coop mode!
Overthrown is an unbalanced, unfinished mess hiding behind a fake 1.0 label—just so the devs have something to show for it. It’s honestly sad when you think about it. At the beginning, they were full of passion and ambition. Then they realized the sales weren’t going the way they hoped… and suddenly the excuses started rolling in. And now? We get this rushed ‘1.0’ facade. But hey, at least they managed to put out a golf game that actually works perfectly. Priorities, right?
Note for Overthrown devs: Remove pollution mechanics or add anti pollution mechanics as well (buildings purify it & structures to isolate it), pollution spreads everywhere like crazy & uncontrollable, unless industrial buildings are relocated or removed. Instead of pollution mechanics introduce climate/season mechanics (plants, creatures spawns, are more season specific); Needs a some sorts of storyline or greater objective; Just an idea, introduce some kind of isekai stuff (reborn into this new world, from our real ones); Other NPC kingdoms & Kings/Queens or small non hostile settlements, more domesticable creatures can be added make things more interesting.
This game needs some serious help. I've experienced numerous mesh issues where I infinitely fall, and I've cleared a huge area only to have ghost artifacts of the blocks I've cleared obscure my buildings. It's ridiculous trying to carry a building and actually have it eat the resource you're farming. Even trees can be a pain sometimes, just straight up going through the sawmill without processing. Mobs can infinitely stun lock you and create some gnarly death spirals when there are three or more big creatures. Dodge is literally your only option; dashing is not an option, which is crazy since you're going to have to use hit-and-run tactics. I've placed buildings only to have them fall through the mesh or fly off into the sky until they disappear. To be fair, the game could have a lot of potential, but single-player is just meh. Bugs make it unplayable for me, and multiplayer trivializes everything. In one day, I was able to progress through the tree on almost every map. I wouldn't say it has any replayability.
I think I'll enjoy this if it stops crashing after the first time I fight a boar.
