First to give a little background on myself and my experience with baseball simulation games. I originally started playing baseball simulation back in the late 1970's with the tabletop game Strat-o-matic as a teen in the late 1970's. In the early 1980's I came to prefer the tabletop simulation by Avalon Hill called Status Pro Baseball. After purchasing my first computer in 1985 I soon turned to various early computer simulations. I initially purchased the computer version of Status Pro Baseball. In the early days there was no tech support and the way you learned to resolve issues was to network with other users and learn coding (Basic). It wasn't long before I became involved with name brand manufactures by working on various development team projects of games for various manufacturers. My most notable collaboration in the baseball genre was Earl Weaver Baseball and Earl Weaver Baseball II published in 1987 and 1991 respectively. At this time I had moved on to a IBM Comparable and in early 1996 bought my first windows based operating system (Windows 95). By this time my attention shifted from programming, and also removing write-protection from software (Cracking), to a pc maintenance and repair tech. I purchased the original version of Out Of The Park Baseball back in 1999 for my Windows 98 SE system and have enjoyed various. installments of the game over the decades. My experience and opinion of the simulation version is excellent and is one of the best baseball sims I have ever played. It does require some setup finesse to get reproduction accuracy which I believe does require some experience in game setup which may prove challenging to the beginner. My overall opinion and experience of the game is very good. My one critique is that over the last decade or so there has been less attention to detail and minor, and sometimes major, problems with the game continue from one installment to the next. Some of these have continued for a very long time and suggests minimizing investment while maximizing profit on the part of the manufacturer. Over the last few years I have focused my attention on the extension of this game called Perfect Teams. Although I consider this overall version of the game to be fun it is not a true simulation and instead a pay to win variant. This is not limited to pay players being able to purchase elite players sooner but in the actual manipulation of stats in various ways. It is my experience, and I would like to hear if others have a different experience, that after about two years this team will be phased out and any investment in that team will be lost. I would caution anyone to not make any serious investment in their team because it will eventually be lost! There are numerous ways for the manufacturer to rectify this but instead they seem to prefer maximizing profit while minimizing investment by actually addressing these issues. There is no reason to erase stats which are stored locally! I would also prove helpful when you log into an account for Perfect Teams, if all teams created under that account were listed. These are not revolutionary concept but have been around for a very long time.

No other baseball simulation comes close. Players develop, age, get injured, get paid, and decline like they do in real life. In most games, players get better until 28, have a 3-year peak, then decline until they retire. In OOTP sometimes a guy ends up like '96 Brady Anderson and crushes 50 bombs then goes right back to being an average player. Sometimes a guy is great like Andruw Jones and then falls off a cliff before he turns 30. Sometimes pitchers don't figure it out until they're 35. It's involved, it can be difficult, but if you're interested in a baseball sim, this is the game.
장점 : ㅈㄴ재미있음 단점 : 인생이 녹음. 참고 KBO로 하는 것 보다 MLB로하는게 훨씬 재미있다
