Gareth Coker is the biggest blessing on gaming soundtracks the world has ever been given. Will of the Wisps is easily the best sequel to a game I've played, which is an incredible accomplishment given how great the first game is. They kept all the best elements of Blind Forest, managed to make them better, then took the worst elements and flipped them into something incredible too. The rework to combat is such a welcome change, as it is no longer mindless mashing of the X button but instead a varied arsenal of both melee and ranged abilities, all to cater to your own style of play. Boss fights are incredible set pieces within the game, blending the beloved chase sequences from the first game with more traditional combat of the metroidvania genre, making them incredibly memorable and fun to experience. Of course, the more exceptional part of this game is the soundtrack - hitting all the right feels and only elevating how memorable the game is. This game is an absolutely incredible sequel that I highly recommend to any fan of the metroidvania genre.
