Can't recommend this right now in this state, could have a bright future but right now it needs more work. Will refund it and keep an eye out for improvements.
Not optimised.
Yeah, not worth your time right now. Weapon design and modification are great, and the concept of the game is at least original, but as it is, the game really sucks. Movement is clunky and unrealistically slow. You move like a penguin, waddling around at a turtle's pace across maps way too big to cross in a fun amount of time. AI are either broken and dont acknowledge your existance or they laser beam you across a valley with an AK on full auto. For some reason the devs added weapons malfunctions like misfires, and while that's fine by itself, you get a malfunction EVERY MISSION. Often, multiple times. Earlier today, I lost a mission I'd been working on for 27 minutes because an AI survived a grenade blast five feet away from him (a cotton mattress about 3 inches thick shielded him from the blast) and my first shot around the corner was a malfunction. That was the third weapon malfunction of that game, and I immediately died and lost all the progress. Thanks a lot devs. This game TOTALLY needed malfunctions. The game also tried to be original with the doors and weapons handling, and I have to say that OPERATOR has the WORST weapons handling of any other game I've played. Hands down. When you aim down sights, your weapon is never actually in the center of the screen, but is instead drifting and floating around your monitor. Reloading is awful. You press R to reload, BUT THEN you have to manually bind and push another button to drop the bolt, work the pump, or rack the bolt to complete the reload, instead of that being an integral part of the reload mechanic. So, that means you can fire a magazine, reload, and still be running around with an empty weapon because the devs didnt make chambering an automatic part of the reload. Doors are also moronically designed. Instead of an "open, cracked, or shut" system like in every other game, you have to grab the door knob and use your scroll bar to open or shut it. It's clunky, slow, and VERY easy to mess up. I recognize this game is still VERY much in the development stage so it's hopeful that some of these things get addressed before it's done. If they do make those changes, dont waste money on it until then. And if they dont make those changes, dont waste your money on an unrealistic and un-fun waddling simulator.
Клютой шутел, я смог почувстовать себя как мой папа. У него был ещё цинковый ящик с номером 200, надеюсь, что в игру дабавят
This game is pretty much still in early development, the AI is to be thrown out and completely be redone, performances are an absolute joke, having the game run at low 30 fps even when everything is setup as very low is a joke, a bad one at that
Remember: Early Access Game. Lots of potential. Apparently the game is developed by a solo dev: major respect. What I like: + Gunfights and movement are smooth and intuitive, making combat very engaging. + Any shot at you could lead to a death, making all encounters tense. + The customization of weapons and gear is unlike any I've ever seen. What I don't like (right now) - AI is genuinely either completely blind, or will snipe you from across the map even if you're in prone position. - The maps are OK at best, but ironically the most open maps will force you into chokepoints, as opposed to offering numerous angles of engagement (i.e. a fence that stretched almost entirely around a compound with only really 2 or 3 access points). - 'Lone Wolf', the singleplayer gamemode, is wholely incompatible with most maps, except the Clean House mission. - Drop zones are a mess. For most maps with multiple starting points, only one starts somewhat safe and the others have you fly straight into a horde of enemies via helicopter -- you can see how that is incompatible with singleplayer. I'll be following the progress of the game eagerly, as each update seems to flesh the game out in big leaps.

The enemy behaviour was the biggest surprise. Once alerted, enemies investigated, moved towards my position and repeatedly forced me to react. They were not flawless, but they created proper tactical pressure and regularly caught me looking in the wrong direction. The weapon handling is equally impressive. Physically checking the chamber, operating the weapon and managing individual magazines gives every reload and ammunition decision real importance. The audio is excellent. Gunfire sounds powerful, explosions are genuinely alarming and the smaller mechanical details help make the weapons feel convincing. Performance was also extremely smooth throughout my session, despite several obvious Early Access faults. The main weakness is unquestionably the UI. Preparing a weapon and carrying enough ammunition should not be as confusing as it currently is. Detailed simulation naturally requires learning, but the challenge should come from understanding the equipment rather than fighting the menus. Outdoor movement also feels too slow when trying to escape incoming fire. I eventually found the faster sprint, but it still lacked the urgency I expected. Despite those problems, I thoroughly enjoyed OPERATOR. I have only tested a small part of the game, so I cannot yet judge its full mission variety, progression or multiplayer experience. Based on what I played, however, the core tactical experience is already very strong.
Sim UK Verdict
OPERATOR combines aggressive enemy behaviour, excellent audio and detailed weapon handling to create tense and unpredictable firefights. The UI needs substantial improvement, and several Early Access faults remain, but none of them prevented me from enjoying the combat. For me, OPERATOR is already a highly promising tactical shooter and one I definitely want to return to—preferably with a coordinated team. buggy mess.
I've been trying to enjoy this game but I just don't gel with it. The movement is clunky and not in a good way at all, in a way that impedes the game feeling intuitive and enjoyable. Gunplay is okay, but then there's this added layer of "aren't we SO realistic guys" that makes it really needlessly complicated. I may be missing something, but there is no UI element to help you understand how much ammo is in your mag, other similar games at least give you a rough idea at least. I never know if my weapon is on single, burst or automatic and I don't know what I can do to check besides inspecting the weapon which takes a couple seconds...for what? The enemy AI will basically just come to you the moment you start shooting, you can absolutely sit in a corner and just kill one guy and wait as most of the map's enemies will slowly make their way to you so you can shoot them as the turn the corner. The customization of weapons and your inventory management is really bad, there doesn't seem to be any way to just see at a glance what weapons you have equipped. I constantly find myself accidentally waying myself down by having my previous weapon still equipped somehow? You have to manually swap magazines out when you swap guns which I just find annoying. There are graphical problems, mainly what I've run into is the overlay for NVG is sometimes cut off on the bottom, so you just see a big black NVG vignette and then no NVG on the bottom of your screen. Last thing I'll say is a lot of the missions literally drop you into the mission already being shot at by enemies, forcing you to either restart or get your bearings instantly before the enemy is able to kill you. Just not a very fun game unfortunately. Hopefully updates will improve it.
This is single handedly the best game ive played in last few years. Hats down to the dev
