the idea of the game is 10/10 a few tweaks from devs and this ♥♥♥♥ will be top tier im all in twinnnnn
How can 1 guy or a few make a better game in a fraction of the time that Ground Branch has been a thing? It's like the same game but better in every way! It's like RoN, GB, Tarkov, Arma tasteeness all mashed into another great thing.
This is a game with enormous potential. At times, I genuinely felt like I was taking part in an operation inside Arma 3. The game introduces several interesting mechanics, but many of them still need more polish. The menus, the way players interact with equipment, and some of the overall systems still need significant improvement. While playing Operator and thinking about games like Ground Branch, I cannot help but feel that, if the developers manage to refine this project properly, it could become what Ground Branch has promised for years but has not yet fully delivered. I sincerely hope the development team gives it their best and manages to turn this rough diamond into a truly solid experience. For anyone looking to buy the game expecting a complete and polished experience, I would recommend waiting a little longer. However, for those who understand how rare it is to see games genuinely focused on milsim, Operator is a project that deserves support. It is an investment that comes with risks. Development may take a long time, face serious difficulties, or, in the worst-case scenario, never reach the destination it promises. Even so, it certainly will not be due to a lack of support from me. The potential is huge, but the game is still very rough. I only wish Bohemia Interactive would improve the infantry experience in its own games. It is when we play titles such as Operator, Ready or Not, Six Days in Fallujah, Ground Branch, Incursion Red River, and Escape from Tarkov that we truly understand how complex, tense, and immersive the role of an operator can be. Operator still has a long road ahead, but there is clearly something special here. Give it everything you have, team!
Good but desperately needs some UI and accessibility work.
i feel like seal team six
I absolutely love this game and its overall gameplay, and especially the gunplay. The amount of gunsmithing customization and detail is crazy. I like the ATAK system and the weight/bag management and how easy it is to figure out and use efficiently. If you decide to get this game, just remember that slow is fast, and fast is smooth. Clear those corners, move slow, fine-tune your weapons, approach objectives in multiple ways to figure out the best routes, and utilize your equipment.
If run and gun games are more your style, this one wont be for you. However if you enjoy the grueling, unforgiving, adrenaline dumping simulation shooters. You will absolutely will crave this game more and more. There is a ton to learn and remember in terms of key binding and weapons operation but once you get it down.....this game is one of the more realistic and life like games on the market. Everything from weapon jam fixes, to general racking of a bullet. The details that went into this game make it something incredibly gratifing once the mission is complete. Worth it at full price. If it goes on sale, don't think about it. Just do it.
At the current state I can't recommend the game. - The loadout manager for the game is awful, you have to manually add magazines and grenades at the weapon mods station, - you have to pick a gun from a gun rack - The gun state persists from the lobby to the mission, so if you have an empty chamber for some reason you find yourself with an empty chamber in the mission with the enemy instantly shooting at you in worst case - while realism is fun and cool having to manually hit the bolt release with a weird key press combination is just... "eh" - Having the colour options for your vests and trousers etc as separate entries in the menu just bloats it to ad nauseam and makes it obnoxious to find something. - Character breaking his wrist when holding the weapon in a low or high ready - escape is not the "back button" in all menus but sometimes Esc, sometimes F, sometimes none of the above... UI hell - Escape opens the Lobby menu but doesn't pause the game in single player - Enemies seem to quickly spot one no matter if day or night or through bushes (I do have a screenshot for a case like this) - I feel like you overall don't get much feedback on what's going on - Realisms seems to be made through "leaving away information or HUD" which kinda misses, that in "real life" you get feedback from your gun or can quickly check settings in a tacticle way which you don't get here. For example I press G to pull out a grenade and I have no clue if I actually have a grenade in my hands now without looking all the way down or when I am ready. - I wish I could put "optics switching" on the mousewheel like in Ground Branch but no, I can't, I have to use capslock or another key. The gun customisation is pretty nice with lots of options but I feel like the UI is letting it down Gunplay does feel good The review seems overly negative but I really hope the dev keeps going and sees this as feedback to continue improving it
I sure hope they improve this game because it is so consistently buggy, laggy and just inconsistent with how it runs and performs, it is like a person with terrible bipolar disorder currently. More often than not it makes me regret even buying the early access of this game.
