About
Once Upon a Page is a cozy, relaxing 3D puzzle game made for children and casual players, where a child’s imagination turns drawings into a living world.
The game takes place inside a sketchbook. When the child begins to imagine, flat drawings transform into a playful 3D environment filled with hand-drawn textures, animations, and charming interactions. Everything you see looks like a child’s scribbles brought to life.
The core gameplay is based on simple drag-and-drop puzzles. Players are given cards with drawings on them, such as animals or objects. When a card is dragged into the 3D world, the drawing comes to life. A dog card turns into a 3D dog, a drawn object becomes something the player can interact with, and the world reacts.
Each level is a small puzzle that can only be solved by placing the correct cards in the right locations. For example, placing a dog card near sheep will cause the dog to guide them into the barn and complete the level. Placing the wrong card doesn’t cause failure or punishment - it simply leads to a different, often cute interaction. A cat, for example, may completely ignore the sheep or start playing with them.
As the game progresses more cards become available, offering new puzzle possibilities and encouraging creative thinking. Players gradually gain more freedom to experiment while still being guided by a clear and simple goal.
Once Upon a Page is designed to be calm and pressure-free. There are no time limits, no penalties for mistakes, and no stressful mechanics. Players are encouraged to explore, experiment, and enjoy the experience at their own pace.
The entire game is fully hand-drawn. Textures, objects, and environments are inspired by a child’s sketches and scribbles, giving the world a unique and playful look as if a drawing has stepped off the page and into three dimensions.
Once Upon a Page is made with children in mind but is enjoyable for players of all ages. It focuses on creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving in a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment.
This is a game about imagination, exploration, and the joy of seeing ideas come to life - one page at a time...
