Once Human

Look, the game is fantastic... if you can actually get to playing it. It's not meant to be played alone, and playing with friends is nearly impossible to do successfully. Example: I recently returned to the game and invited my brother to play with me. He created an account, a new character, jumps through all the tutorial hoops, yadda yadda. Long story short, he's locked into a Novice Server until he gathers enough of some odd resource I can't even find the name of, and the only way to get it is by playing the game and completing his seasonal goals or some-such. Meaning he has to play alone for who knows how long to simply be allowed the option to join me. In learning all of this, we also discovered that actually switching servers is also roadblocked. You start off in a seasonal server, which you have to do X things to leave (or wait until the season ends, shutting down the server). OR you can forcibly leave the server early to move to another, which is only possible with X resource I also couldn't find the name of. Then, and only then, can you go to *another* server where your friends are - BUT!!!!! Only if the server is accepting players. Does all of this sound like a complicated horror story to you yet? Yes? Good. Because it is. But forgetting for a moment the obvious nightmare that is *actually getting to play the game with literally anyone you actually want to play with*... The game itself is actually good. Gameplay? 10/10. Graphics? 8.5/10. Building? 9/10. Crafting? 7.5/10. Bosses/Dungeons? 10/10. If you play solo, you're in for a great time. A *very* great time. Hell, every hour I have on this game is from playing solo. But if you want to play with friends... good luck. I've dropped the game entirely because of my experience in attempting to do just that.
