OMORI

the saddest game youll ever touch

Possibly one of the best games I've ever played. A very long game with lots of story which is beautifully written. Every character has so much personality and life put into them and the art is amazing. And dont forget the soundtrack; just the best music for a game i've ever heard. The story brought me to tears with how beautiful it was and the music coupled with the story can make the most emotionally repressing men cry. One complaint though is that headspace is stretched out too much and is also somewhat boring.

Don't read reviews. Don't read mine or anyone else's. Buy the game and play it with no prior knowledge other than the content warnings at the start. But if you don't want to listen to me. I review almost every game I play. I have since the first game I ever played when I was a kid. Never in those years have I written a review right after playing a game. I sit, calm down and think to write a measured, unemotional review. But I find myslelf here, having just finished Omori, writing this through tears, that for the last three hours I have had to sit away from my keyboard to avoid crying onto it. Omori is a game that is emotional and is emotion itself. It's a masterpiece of storytelling and respectful of its subject matter at that. It's certainly not a game for everyone and in fact I think most people who would experience it fully probably can't experience it at all without harming themselves with the subject matter. I could probably nearly count myself among those. Everyone should play Omori though. And even if it hurts, you should try to persist. It's worth it.
