STILL AWFUL
fun movement for ADHD players
Off The Grid enters the crowded shooter market with an identity that is immediately recognizable. Developed and published by Gunzilla Games, the title presents a futuristic vision where warfare has become mass entertainment and corporations profit from turning human conflict into a spectacle. Rather than simply following the formula established by other battle royale games, it introduces a setting filled with cybernetic enhancements, media manipulation, and a society willing to celebrate violence as prime-time television. The result is a game that feels like an interactive science fiction film, carrying the visual DNA of dystopian cinema while still trying to establish itself as a competitive multiplayer experience. The game's strongest asset is its atmosphere. Every aspect of the world, from its industrial architecture to its militarized advertisements and ruined urban spaces, reinforces the idea of a future that has lost its moral compass. Players are dropped onto Teardrop Island, a dangerous environment where survival is only part of the objective. Fame, resources, and adaptation are equally important. The narrative foundation may not always take center stage during heated matches, but it consistently adds context to the action. Gunzilla Games deserves credit for creating a universe that feels larger than the battlefield itself, leaving enough room for future expansions and storytelling opportunities. Mechanically, Off The Grid separates itself through its cyberlimb system. Instead of relying solely on conventional weapons and equipment, players can replace arms and legs with specialized augmentations that dramatically alter their abilities. One moment a player may prioritize mobility, while another build focuses entirely on offensive power or tactical utility. This system creates meaningful choices throughout a match and gives combat encounters an unpredictable edge. Looting enhancements from defeated enemies and immediately incorporating them into a personal loadout adds an enjoyable layer of progression that keeps matches from becoming repetitive. Movement is another highlight. Jet-assisted traversal allows players to move quickly across the map, scale structures, and engage opponents from unconventional angles. The added verticality gives firefights a sense of momentum that many third-person shooters struggle to achieve. Combined with squad-based gameplay, the mobility system encourages teamwork and coordinated assaults rather than passive camping. When everything works together, Off The Grid can produce genuinely exciting moments that feel cinematic without sacrificing player control. However, ambition often comes with complications. Off The Grid attempts to blend battle royale mechanics, extraction elements, persistent progression systems, and live-service content into a single package. While each component has merit individually, they do not always feel perfectly integrated. The game occasionally struggles with pacing, and some players may find the number of systems competing for attention overwhelming. Technical performance can also be inconsistent depending on hardware, with demanding visuals requiring relatively modern specifications to maintain smooth gameplay during larger engagements. Even with its shortcomings, it is difficult to deny the creativity behind the project. In an era where many multiplayer shooters feel interchangeable, Off The Grid takes risks by introducing mechanics and themes that distinguish it from its peers. It may not achieve perfection in every area, but its willingness to experiment makes it memorable. Players looking for a traditional military shooter may find its futuristic direction unusual, while those seeking something fresh in the genre will likely appreciate its bold design decisions. Ultimately, Off The Grid succeeds more as an ambitious vision than as a flawless execution. Its cybernetic customization, dystopian world-building, and fast-paced movement provide a compelling foundation that could evolve significantly over time. Gunzilla Games has created a title with enough originality to stand out, even if some of its ideas still require refinement. For fans of science fiction shooters and players interested in seeing the next evolution of the battle royale formula, Off The Grid is well worth experiencing. Rating: 6/10

keep optimizing the game, it has potential.
Great Game use the jetpack alot
Game is very unique and fun, even won my first ever match with 21 kills. However, i think I only ran into 1 player my entire time out of 50 players. Playing with bots will get old fast. However if you like casual battle royale's id recommend this.
