OCTOPATH TRAVELER II

Absolutely great. I really wish theyd make more Triangle Strategy and Octopath Traveler games in this vein. This was a masterpiece and had everything. Some of the characters were a little light on the narrative, but the ones who did the heavy lifting more then made up for it (Tenemos was my favorite, for example). There's tons to do and it rarely gets old. The 2D-HD style is married to a very great game system and terrific narrative. It took me awhile to finally finish it, but really it was worth it and it didn't outshine the journey of getting there, which is how it should be. Worth buying!

You can clearly tell how much the developers improved on the game design and story from the first game. I dare say every aspect on the game is improved upon. Especially the character story being more interesting and condensed was greatly appreciated. So if you played the first Octopath or just want the best version than don't hesitate trying the game.

I you like OT you are right at home. And that's properbly also it's greatest weakness, not much evolution.

This game is master class in making a sequel. It takes every single thing that made the original good and improves upon it. It takes nearly every flaw and irons it out. The HD-2D graphics look amazing. The gameplay is much more fluid and satisfying. 10/10.
