In general I liked this game. The idea of having overall 8 characters in battle, separated by first and second rows is quite good. The roster is quite big and you can put everyone in good use. I can't say that combat, apart of battles with Orochi and Galdera (this one would be done better, but I will not spoil the story for those, who did not get there yet) is challenging, and usually revolts around breaking opponent's shield and causing as much damage you can in that turn. Equipping skills mechanics can be rather overwhelming initially, but when you understand what you have and what your build is lacking - it can cover the gaps rather good. A lot of really powerful characters will be available close to second half / end game, but I never felt under-powered during the fights. Overall story is worse than OP1/OP2, but it is not terribly bad. Also, please be prepared that game is quite slow and dialogue heavy. Some of characters, including villains may feel braindead, but from other hand - some story arcs are quite entertaining. Town-building mechanic is nice gimmick, but I would leave without it just fine. Overall I would score game 7 out of 10. For me OP1 and OP2 are much better, but I've seen worse games. Though, I would not justify paying full 50 EUR or 60 EUR for Deluxe Edition and would wait for having it on sale instead.
