I AINT EVER GONNA STOP PLAYING NUCLEAR GLADIATORS 3000!!!!!!!!! F Redban.
Gets boring pretty quickly. Looks good but not really challenging. Upgrades, weapons and meta is bland, you don't really need to think about what to choose, just upgrade whatever and you'll be fine. Once you passed the second level/arena you just run around picking up some gold , no need for dodging etc. just wait for the timer to reach 3 min and collect your winnings. In between rounds you can spend stuff to heal up or gain some perks for the next round, though never used them -no need...
I am over 50. I fall easily for '80s nostalgia bait. And, dude, this game is rad. It had me at the Smash TV, Running Man, Troma nuclear-soaked presentation; it kept me with the solid survivors-like gameplay, which I love. One small con: the arenas are not endlessly scrolling like Vampire Survivors, which I prefer. You can get trapped in a corner. Beware! But, man, this game rocks. See you in (bullet) hell, mothereffers \m/
I love it. It's like a combination of Smash TV from my childhood and Brotato. 10/10
Update: Changing the review as they have fixed the roulette bug and it runs smoother now. (that I'm aware of) The achievement glitch was just a descriptive... "thing". Some of the achievements evidently have "challenge" requirements before they will check off unlike some of the others. I had issues with Nlkita, yet none of the other characters. In her challenges section, (thank you Billy Blaze), is an objective that can't be activated until several of the others have been completed. That is what the achievement is referring too; not just any scenario at any time. (because I had won I don't know how many scenarios previously.) Alas, none of them counted however until the previous challenge objectives were completed. THEN... and only then did I get the achievement completion. It is what it is. Over all, afaik, the bugs are resolved. That is saying something for the devs tbh, and the reason for changing this review. They didn't abandon the game. Initial review: Meh. There are better games in this genre. Plenty of bugs and could have been better implemented/coded. (note: I don't know if this is a console port. That would explain some things) Sometimes one of the mini-games (roulette) doesn't work correctly and locks up. Sometimes there are glitches in game. Some of the achievements don't check off for players. All of this stuff adds up and makes the game frustrating to keep playing. This is too bad as the game has some neat mechanics and could be a lot better if it just worked correctly.
Legit - the artstyle is solid, and like other said, it's Smash TV Survivors. Worth it by far.
For the price its fine. Edited : After playing for a few hours, I found this game to lack replayability, especially when maxing out upgrades. Each character has a similar build and lack of variation. However, it's still an entertaining game with good presentation, just don't expect it to have the replayability of popular games in this genre.
The game runs well, and looks nice... But thats where it stops. It's way to easy you quickly out scale everything. And the POP UPS!!!!!!!!! Every 5 seconds something is happening and just keeps poping up one after another after another after another after another after another. I really cant drive this point home enough. Its nothings but annoying pop ups. It wouldn't be so bad, but none of it matters at all because again you out scale the game so freaking fast. The transfusions are cool. The wheel sucks waste of time you'll always fail and more often than not on the first spin. The shop needs some work. You can easily just buy everything and quickly become OP. With more work this game could be good. But idk
If you like vampire survivors then this is perfect for you.... great game with personality. only criticism is that its a bit too easy to get overpowered.
Shorter runs than your usual Survivors-like, but longer and larger than, say, Brotato. Taking its inspiration from 80s movies in general and Running Man in particular, the game has real character.
