NOX: Chapter 1 is a first-person puzzle game, where the player has to make use of gravity changes, gravity shifts and portals to explore the dreams and nightmares of a child. All this, in a world inspired by the work of Escher.

"NOX: Chapter 1" is a prologue/advertisement for a game that never got made... basically a somewhat mediocre first person puzzle adventure featuring esoteric "Escherish" type environments as the developer tried to be artsy about it all, then discovered game development is hard and gave up trying to make the rest of the game. Which leaves Chapter 1 of 1... a short and arguably pointless gaming experience. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 9 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough. It's a bit of a shame the full game wasn't made.
Bütün bunlar Escher'in çalışmalarından ilham alan bir dünyada.
Really cool experience. It's a pshychological horror game with a cool setting and a nice twist on the perspective mechanic. The art in this game is where I believe it really shines though I also think that the programmers came up with clever solutions to the photographs mechanic. The story is a bit abstract as intended but really cool. Looking forward for Chapter 2.
fun game my only complaint would be having to line up the pictures/drawings with the environment can be a little annoying to have to line up just perfectly to get it to work otherwise i had a good time
I really liked the second monster. It gave me the creeps, as it moves only if you do not look back.
