I play a lot of roguelikes and though I'd love this game. I played through 5 or 6 times and feel like I saw what it has to offer, which is not much for me. I'm sure There are cool combos and builds, but in honesty the asteroid game itself did not capture me.
Perhaps the most overrated game I've played since Noita. This isn't a bad game exactly, but it is just another spaceship survivor-roguelite. The meta progression is particularly weak, only unlocking things sequentially and offering few things that aren't just a double-unlock (unlock via meta, then unlock in game) or rerolls.
Perfect game to play 2 or 3 runs of, get your space explosion fix, and put down again until your next hit of the good stuff. S tier. 4.5 of the 5 voices in my head concur.

Nova Drift is by far one of the of my favourite roguelikes, combining Vampire Survivors and Asteroids in a very fun way. The way the game and it’s upgrades are designed put so much emphasis on synergy and build crafting, allowing you to make so many wild builds, while also considering how each mod may add to (or hinder) your build, and maintains a difficulty curve that still feels balanced, in spite of how absurd the builds can get (my current high score was one where I had to defend my mines until they could charge up, detonate, and then clear the entire screen of projectiles and enemies, while on Annihilation, the hardest difficulty) Again, I cannot recommend it enough, the devs truly outdid themselves with this one
Don't hesitate to try it if you like action roguelikes like Vampire Survivors and/or old arcade shmups like Asteroids. It just keeps getting better the more you play it as you unlock new weapons etc. The Drum & Bass soundtrack is also top-tier and really adds to the fun-factor.

A new take on an old game. Nova Drift is novel and polished. However, the package of game your getting here is probably much smaller then your thinking.
