has good aspects but the rng dependency combined with the progression loss brutally murders the game more than it can any other roguelike game basically, its a rpg that will wipe your progress WHEN you don't get exceedingly lucky
who up tinkering their wand rn

The game is marketed as a "world where every pixel is simulated", which is really cool and impressive by itself. However the best thing about this game and the main reason (I think) it still has a strong, friendly and active community is crafting your own wands. It's actually insane what people come up with. Wands that create a pool of water and electrocute everything, machinegun nuke launchers that deletes half of the map, projectiles that follow the player character and killing everything around, wands that teleport you to parallel worlds, or create a Death Star laser. You can literally create wands that project a "3D" hologram-like shapes in this 2D game. Noita is very difficult, but also extremely rewarding. Reaching that "god-run" status in a playthrough (especially for the first time) is a feeling I don't get from any other title. In those 200h of my playtime I've barely scratched a surface. There's no other game like it.
