Darum keine Empfehlung.
I loved the game. I especially enjoyed the dungeon escape mode. It's a simple and fun game that can be finished in one sitting. I also think it's great that the AI changes depending on the difficulty. I don't know if it's just spiders and monsters, but I think it would be great if there were robots, zombies, etc.
I liked that there were many different types of weapons.
Warning: Asset Flip! "No Time For Caution" is one of literally thousands of creatively bankrupt asset flips infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
The developer made a visit to the Unreal Marketplace, slapped a few stock assets they ripped off onto a basic third person brawler template of extraordinarily poor quality, paid $100 on Steam Direct, and then told their imaginary girlfriend they're a real game developer now. I mean that's tongue-in-cheek, but it does describe what happens with so many of these asset flips. The developers other game here on Steam is an asset flip of an often-flipped game blueprint for a survival game, too, this is part of a pattern. And not a good pattern... this had a price tag on it. That means the developer was trying to get YOUR money for some one else's Unreal Marketplace assets... plagiarism for profit. This is NEVER okay. So, "No Time For Caution" is partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Little, if anything in this game is the creation of the "developer". While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "No Time For Caution", and this kind of asset flipping never results in games that have quality or value for PC gamers. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $1 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? Definitely not. This isn't worth it. I'm paraphrasing another reviewer here, but this should be a paid product... they'd have to pay people to download it. I didn't pay any money for this asset flip but I still feel as ripped off as the Unreal Marketplace.
