Wait till it launches
Ты платишь деньги, ответственно проходишь то, что придумал разработчик, а потом тебе нельзя играть потому что ты не там родился и в ответе за то, чего не совершал. Отлично.
BIGGEST SCAM
The way the marketing was handled for this game leaves a pretty bad taste. Pushing heavy FOMO around the founder's pack and making it seem like the 1.0 release was right around the corner just to drive early purchases only to turn around and delay the full launch to 2027 feels incredibly misleading. The art style is cool and captivating, and the gameplay movement feels smooth. But beyond that, it’s just okay. In my opinion, the core loop mostly comes down to standard hitting and dodging, and a lot of basic features still feel noticeably missing. It has potential, but from what I've experienced I do not recommend
The game has been in Early Access for far too long. Having clocked over 200 hours, I can clearly judge the dynamics of its development. At launch, the project looked amazing and highly promising. It felt like all they needed to do was fix the optimization, tweak the balance, and drop the remaining story chapters. However, over the past couple of years, the developers have completely lost their way. They are abandoning the original concept, shifting the genre toward a half-baked MMO, and adding predatory mobile-game mechanics. Their recent decision to completely overhaul the class system was the final straw. It seems the developers themselves have no clear vision for what the game should be, shifting from one idea to another. Instead of delivering meaningful updates, they focused on marketing to maximize pre-orders, which inevitably led to another six-month release delay. Every new patch only makes the game less enjoyable, and fresh content has been missing for a long time. Verdict: Do not buy it right now. Wait for the full release next year (if it even happens), because the final product will look nothing like the current version. If you desperately want to play an unfinished, isometric souls-like, the current build might give you about 20 hours of gameplay. But is it worth the price? That’s up to you. Also, keep in mind: playing without a gamepad is virtually impossible.
Was really expecting a Diablo clone with maybe dodge-roll implemented. That way, you could say it was Souls-like, right? What I was greeted with was an absolutely gorgeous and intricate world that was both brutal and fascinating. The lore is top-notch and the play loop is absolutely satisfying. A few things I've noticed in my 30 or so hours of play: - You don't lose souls or coins or loot upon dying. You lose equipment durability. This is a fantastic new way to play the souls-like. You don't have to waste time backtracking to where you last died to pick up your valuables. Your valuables just... degrade. And you REEEALLY don't want that one weapon you finally got your mitts on to break. - Money is hard to come by, at least at first. There's really no big hidden ways to farm it. I'm sure there's a reddit post about how to do it effectively somewhere, but how you get your currency is through selling your loot or doing quests. This goes hand in hand as to why the item degradation works so well upon death. - I absolutely love how lived-in this world feels. Every path I take, I'm greeted with grit and grime from this forgotten isle on the fringes of a great Empire. Haven't felt this way about a game's lore since probably my first playthrough of Dishonored. - There's a challenge curve, for sure, but it seems to equalize after level 15 or so. Maybe it's just the player getting used to the game or maybe it's the game letting off the gas a bit, but either way, expect to die a lot in the beginning. I'm totally looking forward for this game to get out of Early Access in a few months. If you still get the chance to get this title %30 off, just do it.
why does the crucible the part of the game that is meant to be replayable has only a total selection of 4 different enemies and the worst enemies they could have picked too, enemies that no matter how much poise you have can fully stop your charged melee attack with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ headbutt whilst your character is wearing over 200 pounds of armor but when i slam a 45 pound sword on a armorless guy he is aloud to attack through that?
В какой раз убеждаюсь, что не стоит покупать игры в раннем доступе.
I was expecting a top down souls-like of sorts, and all that comes with that. Challenging combat, intriguing story and npcs, immersive world and deep character building. What I did not expect was the need to grind materials (Wood/Ore), the egregious inventory management, time gated city upgrades(requiring material grinding), and the absolutely boring loot/weapons/armors/spells. Also, the performance is nothing to write home about. The art-style is unique and beautiful but even that wasn't enough to keep me engaged. I found myself yawning and getting heavy eyes multiple times while playing this, add to that the boring material grind and inventory management and you have a recipe for uninstalling and buyers remorse. Combat Challenging, but I found regular enemies to be more of a nuisance than fun/engaging... especially when getting ganked by multiple mobs. This was infuriating at times. Bosses were fun, albeit very easy. Beating each one I encountered on my first try didn't necessarily feel good but confusing. Why am I steamrolling bosses but getting frustrated with normal enemies? Because enemy placement and balancing is atrocious. Story Incredibly mid and sleep inducing, as well as pretty much all of the npcs excluding maybe 1 or 2. Oh wow, there's a land that has a curse that turns people into necromorphs and you're some kind of bad omen/hero that people hate/like and there's some religious and political interference in the mix... been there, done that... BORING. Character building Feels awful imho. I am around level 20 and feel like I haven't even started to shape my toon. Doesn't help that the spell selection is shallow and weapons have ridiculous stat requirements for the most part so there is no easy way to test things out to give you some sort of direction in what you will be building towards. On top of this, you need to invest a lot of points into stamina just to be able to dodge/swing your weapon a couple times which is essential in a game like this... so forget about pumping those stats that a cool weapon you found requires... and don't get me started on the "equip load", I'm wearing rags and fat-rolling... feels great... Inventory management?! You get about 20 slots for weapons/armor, 20 for food, 20 for materials, etc. Why do I only get 20 slots for materials that you are required to grind a ton of? There are much more than 20 different mats, so if you find your 21st... better get your ass over to the stash and move them all over (individually). Out exploring and finding loot? Maybe even enjoying yourself? Better stop that and go manage your inventory for 10 minutes. What in the actual F does this add to the game other than frustration and a waste of your time? Nothing Grinding Materials and City Upgrading Not gonna spend a lot of time on this, it's boring af and does not feel rewarding or worth it in the slightest. I will definitely be coming back to see what gets changed in the 1.0 release and am really hoping this all gets ironed out because while I did enjoy myself at times, the overall experience was not good and certainly not what I was expecting.
